I disagree with a lot of people here. I think Dennison is really weak. He doesn't object at all and doesn't just tell the witness to just answer the question and just lets them obfuscate and waste time. He doesn't follow up to really sting her when she says dumb things or contradicts herself. And he takes so long to formulate questions and get to the point. He is wasting so much of their time.

So much of what she is saying is equally applicable to Depp but he doesn't call her out on it. She is attributing future contracts that don't exist in her damages but doesn't do the same for Depp. Depp's agent actually testified they had a verbal agreement of over 20 mill for Pirates 6 but she completely disregarded that.

All this could've been done in 20 minutes with a more competent cross examiner like Vasquez. He didn't even know he had 30 mins left just now. God damnit JD's team.

He’s not wasting Amber’s time! Cross goes to Johnny’s teams time. The 30mins thing was, he thought court will end at 5pm but in fact they are going to 5:30pm so that’s the reason.

It's such simple question to make her look biased as fuck.

Exactly, he is wasting JD's time. Why would I care if he wasted Turd's?

Exactly, why the fuck doesn't he know they always end at 5.30? It looks really stupid. He is only scoring points because her experts are so incredibly bad and unlikable but he should be making them looking even worse. He is a partner at that firm, who specializes in expert testimonies.

He had to have a note handed to him to let him know that in the picture Depp has nodded off it was melted ice cream and not vomit. And it's such a natural question to ask the witness "who told you it was vomit?" He misses easy folllow-ups all the time. Has he not read up on his own trial or even followed the testimony in the trial? I am not impressed with this guy at all.

The consensus is Dennison is weak on cross and I agree. Consider the results though:

Johnny's team has 16 hours left, time isn't an issue. Also, Elaine can't seem to let anything go even if it's pointless. Dennison's meandering cross exams have led Elaine to chase every one of his dumb non sequiturs on redirect. Amber's Team has 4 hours left.....

Dennison got in over his head with the statistician, but in the end he boxed the statistician into an awkward dialogue and left him looking dumb - that's all that matters to an average person. In fact, I can't name a single "expert witness" that Dennison crossed that I like or trust (they were already bad imo, but hey he gets credit for it).

In my opinion, lawyers shouldn't try to go toe to toe with an expert witness - save that for rebuttal with your own expert witness. And as it stands, Depp's team is going to be able to do their rebuttal with no cross examinations because Heard's team is out of time. Also, Camille can't do everything haha.

I have to say the last expert witness made quite a good case for Heard. A role in a successful blockbuster like Aquaman would sure as hell boost her career. The only 'luck' Depps team has is that Heard's lack of success after Aquaman can't definitively be attributed to the allegedly defamatory statements by Depp's attorney.

Not asking for him to go to toe to toe on technicalities. But the results are despite of him, not because of him.

What I do expect from someone, who probably doesn't get out of bed for less than 1000 bucks an hour, is a partner and supposedly is an expert on expert testimony, to:
1) actually have read up on all the evidence to ensure best possible representation for his client and has followed the testimony in the trial. I was shocked when he just let the vomit comment about the melted ice cream picture go, and had to have a note handed to him to tell him it was melted ice cream - and then he didn't even folllow up on it afterwards. I doubt I was the only one that thought what the actual f...
2) structure his cross examinations and articulate his questions much more efficiently and systematically.
3) ask pertinent follow-up questions to press the witness when opportunity arises.

Vasquez would've destroyed these witnesses.

From a guy at the court, apparently the jury is able to hear all the chatter from the gallery as they leave. There's no way they aren't already incredibly influenced by public opinion by various means at this point.

Really like that Dr. Curry is second to last witness to just destroy Hughes, Spiegel and Amber. That's a good call.
