Feminists everywhere are writing the same articles. Amber Heard and her representatives will always try to ride that wave but in truth she's not ordering those articles, there's lot's of people in places that really could help women that are stupid enough to engage in something that
a. in reality they have no way of knowing the truth so even if they still have sympathy for a very grey case, why sticking your neck out for someone you don't know? and
b. could in fact damage the "coming forward" part of things for the victims because of the extremist stigma that emanates from not entertaining other options.
What they don't understand is that nothing was damaged by the result. Scales are still tilted towards women being right about violence claims until proven wrong (and men are still guilty until proven wrong), just like they are with custody claims and rape/sexual assault. Most of these victims coming forward will still be telling the truth and perceived as telling the truth, but this outcome is like having a father gaining full custody of a son, which is a rare thing to happen, and lots of moms in high places in the the world chiming in to say that this undermines women rights everywhere. Perhaps the lady was just an exceptionally bad mom, no? Sometimes the guy wins, because the other person claims are considered meritless.
It's good to have a famous case at least entertaining the idea of the guy being a victim so when a claim like that comes up it's taken more seriously. He still has to prove it!
Amber Heard did this movement a disservice, because at best she was not forthcoming in order to appear more like a victim than she was in a toxic relationship and tried to reap benefits out of it by aligning herself with a movement that was convenient for her. These movements banked on her for being famous and bringing a uncomfortable topic up and think the fact that she seemingly embezzled it now hurts them now. But not more than not having the exposure in the first place. These people have no obligations to Heard, but they act like they do.
The trial didn't damage anything, but the way they see things might. Never align yourself with extreme if you represent a neutral, non-judging organization. Or at least state it's your opinion, instead of using the organization as a fallacy of false authority and acting like a hive speaking. But the best would really be to shut up. Nobody expects them to congratulate Depp, or say justice was served, but then they should just shut up in this case.
This is what Amber Heard does in order to reach higher places:
Yoshi is a plot device. These feminist organizations have to do the same, Amber Heard was a plot device for them, only useful for as long as it could be useful. Clearly isn't now.
Depp should sue her again for defamation. God, that woman is deluded and so up herself despite being universally despised and derided.
She wasn't ordered by the court to shut up. If she's the one not moving on now, that won't do her any favours.
Because I doubt she will actually appeal. She pledged to appeal which is not the same thing.
