Was it true that Capcom planned on bringing it to the US as GioGio's Bizarre Adventure, but Araki wasn't happy with the name changes in the Jojo fighter (I'm guessing he wasn't involved in the changes unlike the Namco one), so he refused to let them localize it on the grounds the names would've been changed once more?

yeah he didn't want gold experience changed to golden wind, seeing how ASB uses golden wind some thing must have change

Wait, really? Wonder what made him change his mind. Hell, Golden Wind is an alright change considering that's the name of the part & it's similar enough to make sense.

I do wonder if there's any way we could see a translated version, let alone imports on PSN.

Yooo, I remember way back in the day reading about that PS2 game on some import games site. Was the first time hearing about the franchise. Read up more on Jojo's and it seemed so hype to me. I wanted in on the series, but there wasn't much for English language fans back then.

e: actually I think the Capcom fighter was the first time hearing about the series, but I didn't play it until much later. I know I did own and play it with friends though.

It's true that Capcom planned on bringing the game over, but why they didn't, on the other hand, I don't know.
Was there ever a source for that claim that Araki had a problem with the name changes? 'Cause they sure changed a lot of names in the previous Capcom games. And then in the Bandai Namco one. And then in the translation of the TV series.

Read the newest Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe (7) and all I gotta say is that I missed Rohan. "This is bizarre." You have no idea Rohan. Also lol at using Heaven's Door on a piece of chicken.

The new Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe honestly felt like Araki was having an "old man yelling at clouds" moment what with the electrical insects laying in smartphones. Plus, all the people bumping each other into train tracks because they're too busy looking at their phone. The electrical insects apparently have a stand name written in katakana, but the translation I read didn't translate it at all.

ASB was insanely overhyped, it's Jojo Porn and offers so much for fans, but the game itself really wasn't THAT good. I enjoyed it, it was my GOTY that year (and Last of Us came out that year) and i played it for hundred of hours, but even i have to say that it had some big flaws.
But it's not like review scores matter anyway, i already like the EOH demo more than i liked ASB.

I got every single thing in the campaigns on ASB and it's far from a perfect game considering at best it's a lowly button masher and often ends up running like shit. It's only really a good game if you've read all of Jojo.
