That's scary, man. You mean they were murdered just because they are gay? If they were isolated individual actions, then I guess that can happen anywhere. I'm sure it wasn't an official government policy. but then again, I don't know where you are from.

Australia. Of course it wasn't government policy or anything like that, all it takes a significant minority and hate crimes will still happen. The size of that minority and law enforcement attitudes will determine how big a problem it is, even if there is a large progressive majority.

No argument here. In fact, even when the minority becomes almost non-existent, there will always be someone to carry on hate.
