Cena is great for this stuff but they should've called an audible and got #Broken Matt Hardy to host. It's a once in a lifetime angle.
He was a pleasure to listen to despite not having a quintessential announcing voice like Ranallo.
He just needs to snug up on the inflection: he slipped into a tone that made think he was casually making small talk at Starbucks.

The amazing thing about Matt Hardy is that it's not a fluke.
Since the Hardy confrontation, I was like 'this is funny. I'm not sure if I'm getting worked or not but this is funny. How ridiculous. I'll watch this'
Then Matt slammed Jeff on a keyboard, then Matt was wheeled around the Impact zone in his wheelchair berating the fans for what they did to him. The key moment there was when Reby lifted him and Matt screams 'What they've DAWWWGHGHGHGH' and makes weird Facebook videos
So I'm like. Ok, Matt followed it up. That was fine. But there's no way this keeps going.
Then the Final Deletion happens.
Ok. The Final Deletion happens. Fine, this joke is going to get old now if they keep it going, right? Just end it here. Take a break. Keep Matt off TV for a little while so the act doesn't get stale.
Then Matt has a viewing party where Reby rides a pole into his home cinema, where Matt talks about how much he hates mustard, berates Jeff, names the dilapidated boat, talks about MICK MAHAN, and loses his voice from berating Jeff so much
He keeps doing it. A gimmick that seemed like it would be funny for one week makes me watch TNA every week.
