I've watched WWE PPVs at Sam's Town live viewing parties.

Sam's Town is basically one of the most run down looking Las Vegas casinos that's in the shadiest part of Vegas (North East)

I didn't know how carny this sport was until I was eating $3 nachos which were re-purposed hamburger and hot dog toppings and drinking my $1 Bud Light

#Carny

Is Sam's Town the one with the bowling lanes? I think that's where my grandma used to drag us as kids for breakfast buffets. I've seen my share of seedy Vegas.

so if they're gonna draft 6 nxt people

i can't imagine a realistic scenario where balor, joe and nakamura aren't drafted

maybe they'll do double duty until the takeover show?

Tijuana, one of the big cities. But not Mexico City, that is not a small city, not a big city, but the city!!!

Some years ago, before the WWE network, they used to show all the WWE PPVs, now only the three big ones.
I know some place got fucked for using the wwe network to show the ppvs at their business. I think they were charging maybe 5 bucks a pop for people to view the event.

Tijuana is one of the beautiful cites to see. We want to get out there one day.

Back in the nineties you could watch every WWF and WCW show here because of the use of a pirate direct tv. So a lot of people here grow up with WWF and WCW instead of lucha.

Tijuana is ok, but not a beautiful city. It has a great night life, lots of art and culture events, and a great variety of food including some exclusive to the area. But outside of that, there is not much to see if you come from the USA. The Baja beaches and deserts offer something much more beautiful and different. They are one of the most beautiful places to see in all of Mexico.

Damn, crazy most people from your way or the southwest usually cited getting more wwf than wcw(if they could get it) . That's new to me.

We were usually told Tijuana was a good place to see for history. I just want to go somewhere that's safe, I'm not trying to get in too deep lol.

You could only see WCW if you had direct tv. Most people had regular cable tv and with the basic package you get the USA channel, so more people watched WWF. I remember the time WWF moved to TNN, it was the dark time for us. We had to wait for a friend in the USA to bring the tapes to see Raw.

The main attractions in Tijuana are safe. If you want history you can visit Revolution avenue. It is also the place with a good deal of restaurants and bars. CECUT, the culture center of Tijuana, is also close to the border and really safe. You can see some of the history of Tijuana there.

You might as well travel ~60 more miles and visit Rosarito and Ensenada, which are way nicer than Tijuana. I usually go there with a couple of friends at least once a year and I've never felt in danger or some shit like that, it's pretty safe too.

Yeah! They really fucked up going to tnn, they cut their viewers deep. I understood where they were coming from but USA is just better all around. I often wonder how different things would've been had they stayed.

Now I remember Rey Mysterio talked about wrestling in small places in Tijuana, do they still put on events there?

Thanks for the suggesting. What we should do is make a list of places to visit. We're going to try to stay a week so that should give us enough time to do whatever. When's the best time of the year to visit?

Spring/summer probably, it's the exact same weather we have in SD (where I live) so almost any time of the year has decent weather.

I'd also recommend visiting Valle de Guadalupe which is pretty close to Ensenada, it's a really small town full of wineries and vineyards, I took a tour there last year and had a lot of fun, some really beautiful views and good food/wine too.

Aiii

So not worth it
Trips. I think he's aware too much rests on it. Kev's never going to work a WWE ring again, so who cares; and Shaun doesn't need roids when there's god propping you up.

When you're the boss of testing, you're pretty much bulletproof. Out of those three, betting on H's is the most foolish of choices.

I'd say that he only goes on around Mania time though. Otherwise he just maintains.

But yeah, no way he's not on something at some stage of the year.

Bayley's finisher is a joke. And her coming to main roster won't change shit in the Divas' division. Not with the genetic jackhammer around.

The Bayley-to-Belly looking good all depends on how it is sold. If the opponent can sell it well then the move looks fine, but if it isn't then it's a really meh move.

I think I might give RAW a watch tonight for the first time in a while. I'd like for the final shot of the show to be everyone that is eligible in the draft standing on the ramp/stage. NXT and WWE sharing a stage would be a nice image to go out on before the brand split occurs.

I dunno. It's still a glorified belly-to-belly. And not even a good overhead one. Like when people were rustled over the Ho Ho Lu finish, except it's every match for Bayley.

I may be overthinking this draft thing, but instead of three picks for Raw for every two for Smackdown, why not just have a huge pool of wrestlers who are free agents and can appear on either show?

Upon reflection, I am overthinking this draft thing.

Eh, it's fine. Apart from the RKO I can't really think of any truly great WWE finishers right now that are hit with any sort of regularity (so the SDS doesn't count) Since Seth is apparently allowed to Cop Killer's on house shows and AJ did a Brainbuster a few weeks ago, Seffer should bring back God's Last Gift, love that fucking move.

Finn marking the fuck out for that was great.

Do we really not have a G1 thread this year?

I could make one after work but I have a million things to do and need to watch the first day before that so

someone else make it, keep the spoilers outta here!

Since SmackDown Live is a two-hour show and Raw is three hours, for every two picks SmackDown Live receives, Raw will receive three picks

Does that mean superstars get chosen not one by one, but Steph chooses three people and then Shane picks two, repeat, repeat, repeat?

To fit the draft in a two hour show with a few matches I imagine that is how they will do it.

Glad tag teams can be selected as one pick. Most of these tag teams shouldn't be split. The division has just started to feel healthy again. Hell, I hate the fact that teams will be on different shows.

The thing with tag-teams being able to be split if only one member is wanted makes me think that some team has to be splitting up or else that rule wouldn't be there. My money is on Enzo and Cass as a potential to split because Cass gotta get that singles push.

Sorry I missed the discussion about Bayley being the second coming of Magnum T.A. I agree with you all, though -- she's great!

Nah, not yet. They'll want to give them a title run first, surely?
