Okay, someone explain this to a noob or correct me if I'm misunderstanding.

CM Punk's promo was unscripted and revealed to everyone basically that wrestling is planned.

He pissed off the management. They cut off his mic, etc.

So was this a "worked shoot?" Or was this just a disgruntled employee?

And can they really fire Cena if CM Punk wins? And why would that matter if all outcomes are already decided? Unless it's part of the plan.

I'm confused.
God damn it.

You think wrestling is real, and you don't understand not posting spoilers! Welcome!

Poor Welshtista;

- As noted before, WWE said on RAW that Mason Ryan was injured over the weekend but he didn’t work any live events. F4Wonline.com reports that Ryan has suffered an injury out of the ring and will be away anywhere from six weeks to six months.

*edit, I like the dickishness of complaining about spoilers while quoting said spoilers ;)

It was a worked shoot that played off brilliantly on all the rumours we've heard about Punk leaving, Punk being dissatisfied, etc in recent weeks. This is why the promo was so godlike, because no one has any idea what's going on, not the casual fans, not the smarks, not the dirt sheet writers with all their 'insider info', no one, except for Punk & Vince and whoever else is involved in the angle.

Yeah, and now nobody really knows what will happen next. Dave Meltzer heard that he signed a new deal but nobody really knows what he will do. Though I love the idea Alvarez threw out of Punk recreating a new nexus with people from ring of honor.

Wrestling is a scripted as an episode of 24.

Although it is live (usually), and stuff can happen that is not supposed too.

Nothing unscripted happened last night.

Well mostly, CM Punk can sometime say off the cuff things at times, but he is still in character when he says it.

The segment was edgy though, and pushed the boundaries of a somewhat stale product.

Wrestling is amazing when it is pushing boundaries.

And thus last night was amazing.

Six weeks to six months? I wonder what kind of injury that was.

Spoiler from tonight's Impact tapings:

Wrestling News World is reporting that Jack Evans defeated Jesse Sorrenson and Tony Nees on Tuesday's taping to advance to the Destination X Contract Match.

That match will feature Austin Aries vs. Low Ki vs. Jack Evans vs. Zima Ion.

This Zima Ion guy looked really fucking green last Impact, but otherwise this X division ppv is seeming like it is going to be amazing.

of course its planned.

If he really wanted to "go off" on vince and the company there are a million other things he could have said that would have pissed people off.

He could said something about pain killer or steroid use... he could have said something about Macho man/vince history, how he would be in TNA by September or a million other legit taboo topics.

He especially wouldn't have talked about winning the title.

was awesome tho. a good "oh shit" moment in a normally dull part of the year between Mania and Summerslam.

really hope they can keep punk around. Not sure where they can go with this angle after he loses to Cena or the MITB winner but the dude is talented as fuck.

Probably nerves, Shiima Xion (I guess that would have been too hard for Tazz to figure out, so they had to change his name) has been around for years but never really got that big break he needed in any of the larger indy promotions (although he toured Japan with DDT and worked a lot for AAA more recently), which always perplexed me as he looked to be on the verge of breaking out multiple times.

Maybe, the way he was calling out spots in plain view was still pretty ridiculous.

I also want to chime in and MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE nobody starts an E-Fed. Horrible things.

I was in one ... when I was like 14. It was fun but taxing. (the create your own dude kind, not the "You are playing John Cena" kind.) But at 25 ... nope, I'd rather spend my time writing other things.

I love it as well. I mean, if you're going to bring in Hero and Castagnoli and others, and you have Punk signed but aren't revealing it, keep playing up that he is gone. Get the ROH guys signed and through WWE training so they're comfortable with any changes they might have to go through, and then ... boom, pull the trigger one night on live TV (no reason to waste this on a PPV) and let things go from there.

But knowing WWE, they'd fuck it up anyways and have them all jobbing out to Cena in 2 months.

If we start a WrestleGAF e-fed, I want to book spin and Frankman as a goofy anime loving, Spinnish-speaking, tag team outside of the ring but then they turn into the fucking 80s Road Warriors once the match starts.

That would be such a money gimmick.

So basically, they're both Festus, except they like anime.

like the idea but wwe is somehow going to screw it up or if they did somehow manage it they'll call something stupid like new new nexus

Punk hates TNA and respects Savage enough to not drag him into this. The feud is with the company so narcing really does nothing for him.

Calling John Laurinitis a douchebag yes-man and pointing out Vince's hypocrisy in running his staff like high school bully while the company is actively participating in an anti-bullying campaign is significantly more "taboo" and actually fits with Punk's personality.

I think I'm on to something. Picture spin and Frankman, two badass black dudes, walking to the ring to something like this. Talking about wifeys and hawaii and shit, then the bell rings and they just Doomsday Device everyone, carving an unstoppable path of destruction through the tag team division.

Impact spoilers

-In a BFG Series Match, Crimson defeated Robert Roode with the Red Sky Powerbomb

-Jack Evans defeated Jesse Sorrenson and Tony Nees in an X Division Tournament Match. At Destination X it will be Austin Aries vs Low Ki vs Zima Ion vs Jack Evans fighting for a TNA Contract

-Velvet Sky defeated ODB and Jacqueline in a Handicap Match

-Rob Van Dam defeated AJ Styles, Daniels and Jerry Lynn in a very good 4-Way Match.

-In a BFG Series Match, Devon and The Pope defeated Matt Morgan and James Storm. Devon got the pin after Pope used a belt on Storm.

-Scott Steiner, Bully Ray, Abyss and Gunner defeated Kurt Angle and Sting in a Handicap Match. Before the match, Hulk Hogan took Sting out backstage. Mr. Anderson feigned working with Angle but turned on him and seemingly joined Immortal.

I can't believe they are fucking going forward with Hogan vs Sting feud.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the number of people who think Punk's promo was a legit shoot.

How about just leave em alone and be happy that people are excited for an angle for the first time in years?

Imagine the vignettes. spin and Frankman (we need a name for their tag team) going to anime stores and everyone gets scared because they look like such badasses and all they want to do is buy their dolls or whatever the fuck.

Haha, you know, the bad thing about this Spin/Frankman thing is that the character we're trying to give them already exists. It's just Kenny Omega. :lol

And then they can break up and feud over who looks more like Goku.

(just to clarify, I only know who Goku is because of Bitch I Look Like Goku)

Update on CM Punk's totally legitimate and real suspension:

WWE.com said:
UPDATE: As of Tuesday, June 28, WWE and CM Punk have reached an agreement that Punk will fulfill his non-televised live event obligations for the remainder of his contract, through July 17. Furthermore, both sides have mutually agreed not to disparage one another.
