How old are you? May be a generation thing. Many of us here now discussing this are in our mid to late 30s and have a different view of things when we vividly remember experiences and feelings, er, felt when the NES first showed up on the scene.
I have nothing positive to say about Nintendo today, personally.
I don't have anything really bad to say about them, I have owned every system and have not deserted my WiiU.
But I kind of feel sad watching them.

It is like watching the old dog that you have had since you were a kid stumbling around barely aware of where it is.
I just want to see a glimmer of fire from Nintendo's eyes and it is just not there.
