obviously the boys need to bring back wrestler's court to put everyone back on edge

but seriously wrestler's court has to be the carniest thing I've ever heard about.

Damn Triple H and Brock stumbled and struggled to get their words out and looked like asses when on the Austin podcast, AJ held his own and just further proved why he is the best.

AJ can talk, can wrestle and make any opportunity a memorable one. Love it.

Just finished watching the west coast broadcast of RAW. They're seriously doing the triple threat at Battleground? looooooooooooooooooool

That report on shows with Ambrose drawing larger crowds than the Reigns ones sounds realistic but still god damn get this lunatic noodle away from the title after Battleground.

Also the AJ/Cena match was top notch. Styles output with the WWE has been la flame. I've enjoyed every single moment he's been in ring, even when they endlessly drew out his feud with Jericho.

And he really elevates his opponents too. imo Reigns has never looked as good as he did when he was fighting AJ.

Put him up against Seth next.

Ambrose isn't drawing larger crowds, he's drawing the same as Roman, which, considering all the things they've done to get Roman over, is still a pretty bad mark on him.

Will be interesting to see if the title change ups Dean's drawing power.

Of course, that's also why there can be no big stars anymore. Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, and yes, even John Cena to a much smaller extent was willing to ruin a mans career to get to the top. Does anybody see indy guy #135 stabbing indy guy #211 in the back for more TV time when they've been wrestling on the same shows and been following each on Twitter for a decade?

Hard to stab a brand in the back tbh

We’ve got new information regarding an incident involving Paige and Las Vegas police last night after WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. After investigating the situation and receiving a tip from a reader close to the situation, here’s what we know:

This was not a segment for Total Divas and there was no camera crew present. Paige and Alberto Del Rio were arguing outside of Cesar’s Palace hotel & casino. Paige tried to run across the street on Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. Police were present and Paige was handcuffed ‘for her own safety.’

She was then sent to a local medical facility (either UMC or Sunrise Hospital) for a “mental evaluation” (often referred to as “Legal 2000”), which allows authorities to detain someone who may be a danger to themselves or others. She was not arrested.

Once a chav, always a chav.

I'm arresting you for you own protection?

As someone that lives close to a (former) British Army Base and used to go out in places that had loads of drunk Brits, I can imagine that one set of handcuffs probably wasn't even enough.

Drunk British folks are the worst, the absolute worst. They have absolutely no sense on when to stop drinking. They're like drunk -> hammered -> fuck it all, give me three more.

Not all Brits ;)

Some of us can handle our drink, or know when to stop, or respect alcohol enough to know that binge drinking is a seriously idiotic idea, etc. I've always said we need to be more continental in the way we consume alcohol and stop saving it all up for one huge alcohol-fuelled bender at the weekend.

*edit, how long until I can get my Gorilla avatar back?

Never you shall rock Berlyn as your avatar forever. :p

I think it's like 3 days left.

Tea, please:

And lmao at Paige. Just as you're getting a roster of ladies who can wrestle well, you run across a road in America, in front of the local constabulary. Oh dear.

And Thursday can't come soon enough. No more Beryln (so many threads looking a little Nazi-ish), and it's dress-down day at work so I can rock my Cesaro t-shirt with the WWE logo removed #safe

So I actually gave Raw a very brief watch for the first time in 3 or so months.

Rollins/Ambrose/Reigns was great. Poor Roman Reigns, he really is Lex Luger. A loser with a total perception problem, dead to the male audience unless something radical happens. Whatever about the boos, the chants he gets are just unfair. He's a lot better than the live Raw hivemind gives him credit for. He hung with Rollins and Ambrose on the mic which I couldn't even conceive of at the start of the year.

Rollins is full of fire and angst. Plays his part so well, he's definitely towing the line between face and heel - even if the appeals to Stephanie put him firmly in the heel camp. I think in ring he's slowed down but on the mic he's improved in leaps and bounds.

It's odd seeing Dean presented as somewhat of a threat. I can only imagine how over he'd be if he'd avoided this whole le wacky prop comic stage of his character and had fought his way, valiantly to the title. You know, instead of crying over a plant or whatever. He can still talk, he's still beloved the only question is will he be able to quickly become a more serious wrestler because he has been left in the dust by Rollins and Roman.

The AJ segment was fantastic. For anyone who listened to an episode of Talkin' Shop with AJ on, you know his "disappointed Dad" dressing down of Gallows & Anderson is more or less a shoot, good ol' Uncle AJ. AJ has found a real voice when it comes to promos and can comfortably carry segments on his own, as he did the first half of this one. Props to whoever is helping him backstage with it as they really unlocked a solid character for the man. I had to run out the door to work so I didn't catch what Cena went on about.

Reading the results it sad that Cena/Anderson went so short, they could have a PPV level match given time. Honestly the way to stretch this feud out to Summerslam is to have Cena beat Anderson at Battleground and go back to AJ after that. Imagine a Cena/Orton match except good!

Oh and I very briefly caught the Enzo/Cass segment they are SOOOOO fucking over. Made men.

Yeah, the only law we have in NL is that you have to cross a street in a straight line, you can cross where-ever the fuck you want.

If jaywalking suddenly became a thing in London, police would be arresting people all day haha. If there's a gap in the traffic, fair game.

My data might have been skewed, army guys, etc.

Oh, yeah army guys can be shitty haha - there's a very large army base a few towns over from me and there's always trouble when the soldiers go out on the piss.

As far I know Britain doesn't even have laws for that at all except when trying to cross motorways on foot which is totally illegal unless it has a footbridge.

But wasn't Styles and Rollins also on the card with Reigns? Can you really put this all on Roman?

I think we need a quick reminder to everyone that the WWE brand is the draw and they are not that interested in a star based business anymore so arguing over individuals as a draw is more or less a moot point at this stage.

IMO of course.

You are thinking of WrestleMania, not WWE.

I think Meltzer is right that it's basically contracted into mostly the hardcore "internet" fans that watch (house shows being the exception since that's mostly families.) We may mock TNA for having that tiny core audience that follows them everywhere but WWE is just a bigger version of that. They'll never recapture the Attitude era days when everyone knew who the fuck Stone Cold was.

I don't understand, when Dean said he'd fight both men at Battleground they should have done that.

Do Dean vs. Roman and end with Seth interfering and giving the DQ win to Dean and then do Dean vs. Seth with Roman interfering, leading into the Triple Threat at SummerSlam.

No imagination.
