The winner of NXT won a contract for RAW, not SD so that explains why they're not on that show. Confusing given that some mentors are SD talent, I know, but that's WWE for you
:lol

Check it out if you get the chance, Night 1 was fantastic, and Night 2 and 3 of the tournament are said to be even better.

I guess it's because these guys are the second batch, but it just seems so hard to get interested in many of the new NXT guys.

Even Percy? Even Percy? Oh man, I'm HIGH on him. So fantastic.

Percy has potential. I'll give it a couple weeks. I absolutely hated NXT in the beginning too. Didn't watch the first couple eps because it was such a bad concept to me.

I think with NXT, like any other show, the first season will be thought of as 'weird' because it was trying to find its footing.

Thing is, there's NO delay between seasons for them to analyze what did and did not work to a long extent - they've pretty much gotta roll with it as they have been. Still, should be a tighter show.

Last night's ending though. Sigh.

I think it would have been nice to be given a week or two to kind of rebound especially after the huge NXT angle last night.

As for Smackdown,
I think it may carry over to Smackdown, but it makes sense for them to explain it on Raw first.

They said last night that NXT 2 will only be 12 weeks long. However, they have the Tuesday SyFy timeslot until September 28 before Smackdown moves to SyFy the following week. So what are they gonna do with the timeslot for the 5 weeks after season 2 ends (Aug 31-Sept 28)?

I intrigued to see what WWE does with the NXT stable. I sorta get a Natural Born Thrillers vibe from them, which is exactly the model they should follow for the group going forward.

Last Call with Scott Hall > Matt Hardy being a mark for himself (as always)

That is a hard act to follow :lol

*Puts on Fantasy Booking Hat

Out of the NXT rookies that did not win Season 1 or Season 2, they should do a 5 week single elimination tournament, culminating in the series finale of Daniel Bryan vs Black Cena in a 60 minute time limit match. The winner getting a contract to Raw.

:3

A 5 week season tho? That would be waaaay to rushed.
Well isn't Smackdown moving to Raw in November? That would give them enough time for another season. And they're also wanting to do something on Bravo, or one of the other NBC Universal channels. I just wonder how many rookies they could pull out before they're scraping the bottom of the barrell. Judging by the pros this season, they're already stretching for them, unless they're start doing more repeats. I weep for the poor bastard who gets stuck with Santino as a pro.

-- CM Punk has an ongoing bet with WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel regarding the Stanley Cup Finals. The bet is that if Punk's Chicago Blackhawks win, Chimel has to announce The Straight Edge Superstar as hailing "from the home of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago, Illinois." However, should Chimel's Philadelphia Flyers win, Punk has to cut a promo in Chicago stating "this city isn't nearly as good as Philadelphia."

So it looks like Punk won that bet tonight.

FCW Spoilers:

The main event of tonight's FCW TV taping was announced as The Miz and Daniel Bryan vs Christian and Heath Slater. Miz's music played but no one came out. Christian's music from like 2 years ago played, christian came out alone and made fun of the music collection. Christian talked about what happened on raw, a very loud Cena Sucks chant starts. Christian called out Slater and told him to explain it to his face. Slater said how he started off 4 and 0 and everything was great, but he wouldn't give him the answers he wanted anymore and they finished 4th.

Bryan runs in and attacks Christian from behind. Miz runs in afterward and together they fight off the rookies. Miz says lets do pros vs rookies. Christian says you want to make a statement? Statements have consequences, so come in so we can beat the consequences into you. Miz says lets do it because they are the WWE pros, and they are AWESOME. Miz pulls off his shirt and the girls started cheering, Christian grabs miz's shirt, puts it on and takes it off and was disappointed when no girls cheered for him.

Christian and Slater start off. Eventually Miz gets in and is going full babyface. Eventually Bryan gets in who is going full Danielson heel. Yelling best in the world, telling the ref he has till 5, and yelling at Miz "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE PRO!" Lots of smarks cheering for Dragon. Eventually miz and christian have the rookies ready for the finishers at the same time, and oh shit ALL of the season one rookies show up! They get in the ring and beat the shit out of Miz and Christian and start tearing apart the ring again! Bryan kicks Miz's head in and Slater hits the killswitch on christian. The rookies leave the pros in a heap.

Looks like that was their Melbourne show. I'm going to their show in Orlando on Friday, this excites me and I am looking forward to seeing something similar myself :lol .

Awesome. The E is no longer safe

I use to follow Austin on Twitter, before my Twitter page got full of nothing but Steve Austin posting another Austin vs. Shark story.

Well seems like a wrong will finally be wronged.

Chris Jericho is finally getting a DVD collection this Sept. Chronicling his whole career. I wonder if this will be the first 10 disc special. :D

It'll be 80% post codebreaker.

Joey Styles tweeted that not only will it include his WWE & WCW stuff, but also content from his time in Japan, ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling - it's only a 3 disc set though, i'd love for something more comprehensive.

Incidently, if anyone's interested here's DDT Fantasia #275 which includes the Kenny Omega vs YOSHIHIKO rematch :lol

DDT2-1.gif

All the sets now are very recent heavy. Both in terms of included matches and time spent on those particular years in the documentary(assuming this includes a documentary and isn't just matches only).
