FCW Spoilers:

The main event of tonight's FCW TV taping was announced as The Miz and Daniel Bryan vs Christian and Heath Slater. Miz's music played but no one came out. Christian's music from like 2 years ago played, christian came out alone and made fun of the music collection. Christian talked about what happened on raw, a very loud Cena Sucks chant starts. Christian called out Slater and told him to explain it to his face. Slater said how he started off 4 and 0 and everything was great, but he wouldn't give him the answers he wanted anymore and they finished 4th.

Bryan runs in and attacks Christian from behind. Miz runs in afterward and together they fight off the rookies. Miz says lets do pros vs rookies. Christian says you want to make a statement? Statements have consequences, so come in so we can beat the consequences into you. Miz says lets do it because they are the WWE pros, and they are AWESOME. Miz pulls off his shirt and the girls started cheering, Christian grabs miz's shirt, puts it on and takes it off and was disappointed when no girls cheered for him.

Christian and Slater start off. Eventually Miz gets in and is going full babyface. Eventually Bryan gets in who is going full Danielson heel. Yelling best in the world, telling the ref he has till 5, and yelling at Miz "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE PRO!" Lots of smarks cheering for Dragon. Eventually miz and christian have the rookies ready for the finishers at the same time, and oh shit ALL of the season one rookies show up! They get in the ring and beat the shit out of Miz and Christian and start tearing apart the ring again! Bryan kicks Miz's head in and Slater hits the killswitch on christian. The rookies leave the pros in a heap.

Awesome

so why oh why have they not continued this storyline or is comatised Undertaker storyline part of n(Xt)Wo storyline.

Joey Styles tweeted that not only will it include his WWE & WCW stuff, but also content from his time in Japan, ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling - it's only a 3 disc set though, i'd love for something more comprehensive.

Only 3 discs?

:(

I like Sting's storyline. It's going to be awesome when he explains all his hate is because
of Hogan's takeover of the company

Now that Y2Kev has been promoted to mod, can we no longer openly discuss lamps in this thread? :lol
pff discussing how awesome lamps are, where we shop for these lamps and how much light they give shouldn't matter to any mod, WWE PPV's are boring enough we need are monthly lamp talks to stay sain.

Tickets for take-home commemorative chair seats at Pay Per Views have been $200 and $300 for Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam. Now, the WWE is pricing these seats at $400 for all Pay Per Views, excluding WrestleMania, which will run you around $800 for a take-home chair. Seating outside the take-home chairs still remains at $90 a ticket.

They're finally pulling the plug.

Seriously, I hope they're either going live every Thursday or getting out of Orlando.

There's not really many other options as to what it could be. Kinda curious as to how long their contract with Universal was.

It's not like there's any huge names left that are willing to jump to TNA.

Dixie Carter has had enough of Wrestling biz and has sold the company to Stephanie McMahon.

Her other latest post really reminds you just how long TNA has been around and they haven't gained a single inch in popularity since:

"Hard to believe Samoa Joe made his TNA debut on Slammiversary 5 yrs ago this wknd. He's been getting a GREAT response on recent live events"

Its amazing how they managed to make Samoa Joe into "just another guy" for the general audience. If there was one guy they could have built their company around it should have been Joe.
They really brought his momentum to a halt though by having him lose to Angle in their first match which is really a microcosm of what TNA has done wrong. Having Joe win that first match made so much more sense.
Much better way to book that trilogy:
Match 1 Joe wins. Joe looks legit for being able to beat one of the top guys in the world and it shows that TNAs guys are on the same level (if not above) as the top guys in WWE.
Match 2. After losing to Joe, Angle talks about how he wasn't ready for that level of competition and has been used to a lower level at the WWE. He now realises he is going to have to step things up and train harder than ever before if he expects to succeed in TNA. He wins the second match.
Match 3. Either one can win this one really. You have now established Joe as a complete badass who could beat anyone in the world and Kurt is now at the top of his game like never before.

aren't they a little bit more popular/known now during the Hogan/Bischoff regime?

Seriousley. When Joe left ROH, it was as a freaking titan, the hottest name on the independant circuit - he took Kobashi to the limit, beat everyone thrown at him during the longest title reign in ROH history and when you saw him come down the ramp, the crowds reaction to him and the way he carried himself, you didn't see a fat, podgy Samoan guy, you saw the goddamn CHAMP thanks to Gabe's booking and Joe's seemingly limitless atleticism and energy. TNA could have handled his debut soooo much better, but it was the subsequent years without any real creative direction that made Joe 'just another guy', the storylines he was involved in we're totally lackluster and Joe just didn't look at all motivated for the longest time. Glad to see some of his fire back, and hopefully TNA don't drop the ball with him again.

This might be blasphemy to some, but if WWE is actually serious about creating a compelling product, I would rather see Joe show up on Season 3 of NXT.

But not in a good or positive way. They're known as the place where WWE potheads, rejects and retirees go to cash a quick paycheck.

I think an interesting strategy would be to buy all the TNA talent that hasn't already been on WWE TV to feature on NXT. All three of 'em.

God, that's a dumb idea. I dont think all the non "Big 4" PPV's can get 1000 people or whatever it is(first 5 rows only) paying that. No way in hell Over The Limit would have sold them all at $400 each. Hell they couldn't sell them all at $250 and had to comp a bunch to have the seats filled for TV.

$400 for the Big 4 and $800 for Wrestlemania they can get easy. In fact they're gonna scalp 1/2 of them for well over that because the world is full of idiots willing to pay it.

There's a house show in Toronto in September that the WWE is trying to scalp the best tickets to for $350/ticket:lol

They're more popular now than they were during their time on Fox Sports Net in '04-'05. But at the same time, their very first Impact on Spike TV got a 0.8 rating. Nearly 5 years later, they're getting pretty much the exact same ratings.

They seem to be doing very well in the UK. They've even beaten Raw and Smackdown in the UK ratings a few times this year.

Overall though, there hasn't been enough growth, especially in the US.

I remember hearing Paul Heyman talking about when he first saw Sabu and thinking how different he was from everyone else and how you could build the company around him because newcomers to ECW would watch and say "Holy shit look at this guy! I've never seen anything like this before!" Joe could have been that to TNA. As good as someone like AJ is he isn't totally unique, he is just really good at what he does. There isn't really anyone like Joe and having him as the focal point of the company would have helped TNA position itself as a real alternative to WWE.

Wrestling as a whole is very unpopular these days in the UK and TNA is free to view, whereas WWE isn't. So don't read too much into that.

Do you mean free in terms of being on Virgin which needs to be paid for and WWE is only available on Sky.

I've been a fan of his from the start but to me now Tarver just looks like a total badass.

When they panned to him stood behind the guardrail and he jumped it you knew shit was going down.

I think he can go far and hope he does he just seems a legit hard mother fucker.

Anyone with me?
