They can't do anything to make the legacy WORSE after those awful awful sequels. So I approve of them trying, even if it turns out mediocre.

Colin just shared this on Twitter with the caption "see you next summer Star-Lord"

Hype. For whatever reason, this picture just screams Jurassic Park and I love it.

I still can't believe the guy who made the HomeBase video is making this movie.

It really is great, haha

Will watch
on cable
if Chris Pratt gets ripped apart and eating by Velociraptors, provided his acting is convincing enough.

So, when Irrfan Khan was first cast, it was reported he was playing 'Patel' owner of Patel Corp. A few months ago I learned the name was outdated, but the concept was still correct. Finally, someone in the know updated IMDB with the name 'Masrani', so I did a little research and learned Universal does indeed own www.MasraniCorp.com. So, for those interested, that is his characters name, and that company is the one who runs Jurassic World.

I fully expect MasraniCorp.com to be used as a viral marketing campaign in the future.

I asked for this for Xmas and got the bigger one instead!

Way to deliver Santa!

...though the colouring always bugged the hell out of me.

I had both, the smaller one was always my favourite. Probably because it was my first JP-related toy, got it for Christmas together with an Alan Grant action figure. Best Christmas ever.

Also, the tail on the bigger one was completely borked because it was folded in the box. The "stomping" sound was pretty genius though.

Yep, my tail was broken too.

Trailer is rumored for November, which makes sense.. Still, I was hoping for a teaser earlier than that. Ah well, not too long now!

Btw, word is Lego has the Jurassic World license and will officially announce it in October.

That would.... totally work!

Who owns the toy line now? I saw some last year that were Toys r Us exclusive or something, but they looked bad in comparison to the Kenner line...

Hasbro has the master license, so they get first dibs on what aspects to play around with. They originally were doing Kreo for JW, but thankfully it seems they are sticking with traditional action figures and maybe plushies/games. While Hasbro has some exclusive Jurassic Park lines with Toys R Us, they mostly consist of repainted Jurassic Park 3 toys (the original vision of the line was much more expansive, but poor sales caused it to be canned/absorbed into the Jurassic World line).

The Hasbro Jurassic World items will get the full market treatment, so it will be available all over and not just TRU (though I expect TRU to still get some exclusives)

I'm really hoping that Neca or Sideshow will pick up Jurassic World, but apparently in the past Hasbro blocked Neca, and Sideshow dropped JP due to conflicts with Universal.

Would be nice to see some high quality figures! If not, well there's still those Papo dinosaur figures that are listed on Amazon. VERY high quality, moveable mouths, and thr designs are straight out of JP.

I wonder what direction they are going with in terms of tone.
I'd like to see more scary/suspense scenes and less focus on gymnastics and gimmicks.

The third movie was more scary suspense and all the worse for it.

It should be about the adventure and thrill of it all like the first- that was what was so special about it, the dinos were not just horror creatures jumping out at you but also something so awesome the characters had to stop and admire them. Don't lose that sense of exploring the past in the chase for cheap scares.
