I've never understood how actors can do winter scenes and be wearing winter clothes with fake snow when in actuality they're in summer conditions and not be absolute sweaty messes on film.

I thought this was BS at first, however it may pan out believe it or not..

I'm not entirely convinced its a trailer for theaters (if so, it's gonna be Dawn of the Apes) but it may be something like a VLOG.

I tried Gaf :-( I'm in NOLA right now and yesterday we swung by the Six Flags (Jurassic Park as we have grown accustomed to calling it when in route lol) and we got turned away.

As we turn left into the sole entrance (as far as we know) to the park, the rent-a-cop standing outside his car, flags us down...

Me: "Uhhhh...can we go back there?"
Security: "...no haha"
Me: "What if I told you I play a dinosaur?"
Security: "Pfft *snicker* Sorry I can't."
Me: "Okay, okay,...so is there a place for us to circle back further down the road?"
Security: "lol no you can turn around right here."
Me: "*Drive of Rejection*"


We passed by again today with the intent of just trying to lie about being extras without paperwork (like we should have in the first place lol) or hoping we'd have a new guard more susceptible to our charms and willing to give us a little slack but it was the same dude

We are heading back home tomorrow but we kinda pass the area on the way back in case anyone has any suggestions, though I think they might not even be filming tomorrow with 4th of July and whatnot lol. Oh well.

Lololol. That actually came up, how easy it would have been to just speed past the single guard and claim ignorance when he caught up but I don't know if I want to be coming back to New Orleans for a court hearing or getting tasered or some shit lol.

I also considered just sneaking in by foot since there's so much growth around the park but fuck potentially having a gator or snake clamp down on my ass while I'm snaking through the bushes haha.

What makes it more painful is I know a chick from the area who DID get to be a extra this week and she's been bragging all about Pratt winking at her on the set.

NO NO FEATHERS!!! The only real dinos to me are from the original movie, and I will continue to believe so...

And yes, I agree. Animatronics > CG. CG can look good, but nothing beats Stan Winton's creations!

They are, I was told filming was going through August. When they called me they gave me like an hour to call back before it was booked up and I was too late but she said to expect more opportunities at least for the next month.

I hope the raptors are all CG. The animatronics always looked robotic(which they are, obviously) and just pulled me out of the experience. I'd much rather see CG dinosaurs. They were given far more freedom that way. And despite what people on the internet think, CG is very nicely done these days. It'll look fine.

What was the last good CG dinosaur anyway? All I can think of is King Kong but it's been a long time. Personally I think the effects from the first JP still hold up so I'd appreciate a mix of props and CG

Well on one hand I'm pretty happy that it isn't final (not because it looks bad, but because it's kinda lame for the first reveal of a dino is through a BTS pic instead of a teaser or something) but the all CGI thing sucks.
