I actually do not think the gates are coming back. At the very least, if they built them, they aren't in the original location, nor did anyone see the set.

I'd assume "Jurassic World" would get its own set of gates but I would love to see a rundown Jurassic Park gate standing out in the jungle.

Trailer may be hitting this Friday.

There has been jackshit in the way of promotion for this movie

You'll be surprised at how many people are shocked when I tell them there's a 4th Jurassic Park film releasing next year. That trailer better be incredible, because fuck all is being done right now to raise awareness about what is probably the most exciting event in film in the last decade (my bias is at play here, be gentle).

There has been jackshit in the way of promotion for this movie

Once the trailer is released, the word will get out fairly quickly. The toys and clothes will start to appear in stores about a month before the film is released and that will get hype in full swing. I'm not worried about it.

Yeah it kind of scares me.
Really hope the first trailer hitting is a full on trailer at this point and that they throw something onto the Super Bowl as well.

If you don't think this movie will get a shitload of marketing and exposure, think again. It's just October.

Is this guy trustworthy ?

Yeah, while we knew they were aiming for November, he broke the Interstellar news first. Further, a day after he said that the Fast 7 trailer was rated.

There probly not doing any ads cos they don't need to, as soon as the first trailer hits ppl will be shitting there pants.

I don't fully agree, Star Wars has been doing a pretty solid job at reminding people they are making SW7. They should be using this time to build momentum.. and missing the November film rush seems like a mistake. If they could have had the trailer attached to The Hunger Games it would have really helped for awareness.

Ok, the delay of the trailer has been explained fairly efficiently via Spatulashack:

I'm about to go into more detail than I usually do but from what I hear, once the decision to debut Fast 7 on Interstellar was made, the studio's original course of action was a non-ideal split target where the Jurassic trailer would premiere exclusively on IMAX prints of Interstellar with Fast 7 taking all other screens. After a lot of back and forth the studio felt such a diluted debut theatrically may be counter intuitive. The final nail in the coffin came when the digital marketing team responsible for getting the trailers up on social media and film blogs objected to debuting two highly-anticipated trailers in the same window effectively splitting the online news coverage. That said, I think most would agree that Jurassic World is a much better demographic fit for Interstellar than Fast 7 is but since the latter film was delayed for a year and releases earlier, there was more pressure to get that trailer out there sooner.

I had also asked why The Hunger Games weren't on the table, here's his response:

Because the plan currently is to debut the Pitch Perfect 2 teaser with Hunger Games. You have to remember that juggling trailer targets on big films like Interstellar, Hunger Games and Hobbit is incredibly difficult and increasingly political as you have vocal producers and directors sometimes clashing with studio executives to get their trailers on a film of their choice. Splitting targets has become more popular as a result but exhibition hates it since it complicates things.

It's a bummer that the Fast 7 team won the marketing battle, but hopefully the Jurassic team gets to put something out in the meantime.

Someone with an allegedly decent track record of leaks has described an alternate Jurassic World trailer:

Trailer description for #JurassicWorld... Shot panning over water, familiar eerie music plays. Large raft like boat comes into shot. You see the horizon of an island. Shot of a crowd watching a shark being winched into water....fast shot of something attacking the shark, crowd reacts cut's to black, shots of crowds entering tourist attractions in an open park..Familiar vehicles entering the large JP wooden gates etc. Fades to black. Sound of lightning, large fences rattling and shaking in rain...Chris Pratt kneels before large metallic crates, reverse shot of him looking in. Something moves, you hear a screeching noise.... Sound of alarms, people running terrified through resort, children crying. Chris Pratt running through foliage and vegetation.. .Familiar roar of a T rex. Flying pterodactyls swoop over amusements, Velociraptor (or similar) leaps onto a JP truck & looks off camera. VO: "They're smarter than people think!" Shot of Chris Pratt signalling a velociraptor to attack. It responds, roars, leaps. ...#JurassicWorld logo crashes onto screen, roar of something that sounds different from a T Rex.

---

From my understanding #JurassicWorld focuses on the misunderstood intelligence of dinosaurs and how training and manipulating, is a bad idea

Time will tell, but thing is, I don't think we will see the JW trailer super soon with Furious 7 kicking the hype machine into gear.

That alternate trailer doesn't sound half bad actually. I wonder how well the whole trained velociraptor thing pans out though.

Yeah, I like the description of that trailer a lot better than the initial.

I wonder if it was recut and that's part of why they delayed.

So, a video leaked out (which has since been taken down by Universal) that revealed they were filming in California, seemingly amongst the redwoods. More interestingly, it seems they were filming very recently. I'm not sure if these were pickups, something filmed for marketing, or perhaps the budget was extended to film entire additional scenes.

New trailer description, details add up, I'm thinking real:

It starts with both Universal, Legendary logos. And there's a heartbeat sound in the background.

It starts really slow, and between every heartbeat, they flash series of different sequences with no sound but the heartbeat.

In order;

- Nublar ferry approaching the island.
- A HUGE number of visitors, walking through the dock.
- JW gate opening with slowly (this one has sound) and we enter the park and it cuts to black a little longer than the others. (''THE PARK'')
- And next number of scenes appear with a more fast pace, with heartbeat speeding up as well.
Next couple of scenes are from inside the park.
- We see people walking around first. Then we see little kids petting a baby triceratops, and in the background there's an adult one, fed by people but it's in the distance and blurred. (I noticed it because they replayed the trailer like 6 times.)
- We see little flying dinosaurs inside huge cages, and we see people watching them from inside the cage. Those little things are really freaky, I don't remember seeing them in other movies.
- There are some other shots in the valley with more excited people, and blurry but huge dinosaurs in the background. (I hated how they did this. We want to see THEM, not people)
- And it gets dark. It's nighttime. We see the main building and there's a gorgeous light show, coming from its top. (''IS'')
- We see a giant sea creature from the top, swimming slowly in a huge pool and we see it when a lightning brightens the pool from a distance. (really spooky)
- Then we see the lonely part of the island, where a creature is looking over to the lights in the distance from its solitary area. But we don't see it clearly, only the reflection on its eyes and the general shape of its head. (It's kinda chubby.)
-Then the heart beat stops, and we hear the alarms, and we see scenes where people running around, trees falling and get crushed by something in the jungle. Then we see
Chris Pratt for the first time, looking for someone in a hallway full of people running the other way.
- Bryce Howard is taken away by huge security guards. And final shot of the montage is pteronodons flying freely above visitors and terrorize everything. (''OPEN.'')

Then cut to the first and only line in the trailer. Chris Pratt says ''This might be our only chance.'' He's in an open field in broadday light and he's looking down a little.

And the greatest and most amazing shot in the trailer comes along. A lone velociraptor comes out of the jungle and jumps towards the camera in slowmotion, and we see that it attacks another huge dinosaur which we don't see.
We only see the part where raptor puts his claws on, and it has a weird texture. It looked like it had transparent layer, on top of his inner skin which has a rustic color. It looked cool, even for a spilt second.

Then the logo appears with a melodic JP theme, but it was incredibly moody and dark.

He later added it is targeting an online debut the first week of December.

I'm trying to not read the description. I NEED visuals!! It's been forever since I heard the iconic t-rex roar on the big screen... I was close to watching the original in IMAX once when I stumbled upon it during a walk in the city and saw that they were showing it >_>
