Jesus christ that got crazy toward the end. They really loved pulling plot twists every which way throughout that series. The whole parallel universe being 20th century britain just came outta no where.... not quite sure what to think about that. I also wasn't very impressed with the ending, though I usually always come away feeling unsatisfied at anime endings... they love keeping it really open ended.

I'm pretty sure there is a good thread for you to hit that ended a few months back regarding the TV series ending (and opinions regarding it, which required a few pages), but just to keep things fresh:

That's not the final ending. Everything wraps up in the movie this summer.

Good to hear, though dammit now I gotta wait for it. *should of held off watching the anime*
