1. Dusk hasn't been paying attention and thinks 2 will be doused tonight and the arsonist will leave on top of the scum kill.
2. Dusk knows a lover is doused and the mob kill tonight? Loss of 3 doused + 1 lover + 1 arsonist + 1 scum kill.
3. Dusk knows something we don't.

If it goes between me and Launch, even a No Lynch would be better than pointlessly killing either of us (currently I'm not against Launch, his claim is plausible).

It might go towards preventing your lynch but it's close enough that you might be able to avoid claiming. Whatever you want to do

No, no. But claiming vanilla still limits the pool for potential power roles. But so many are gone/open, it seems not very bad to say so now.
