Nichijou is kind of like that, but taken to the absolute extremes. Azumanga doesn't have old men suplexing deer, talking cats, or robot girls. Azumanga is very grounded in reality in the same way K-ON! is, it just has a lot more one-off jokes and stuff and less things on day to day things like K-ON! has. In the end, I'd probably say Azumanga is closer to K-ON! than it is to Nichijou, but they all have their similarities.

Final Fantasy titles have a much higher quality standard to live up to than most games though. And FFXIII fell very far short of what people used to expect from Final Fantasy, though the franchise really went into the shitter quite a while earlier than that.

The klutzy pegasus knight is a pretty good fit for Yui, if I do say so myself.
