I've been here for a while and it's pretty much the same for me :p Unless something is 'happening' like the awards last night, I don't really have much to contribute.

The punk cover is a staple of the genre, but it can often be blighted by hamfisted irony, even more hamfisted commercialism, or both. However, a lot of it is thoroughly sincere, and in Japan, the burning heart of this love affair is Momoiro Clover Z, a pop group who provoke squealing, teenage admiration from punks, indie kids, noise musicians and heavy-psychedelic longhairs throughout the Japanese underground music scene.

One such progressive rocker is Taigen Kawabe of U.K.-based psychedelic band Bo Ningen. More often seen in Tokyo playing alongside noise legends such as Keiji Haino, Kawabe's page on the website SoundCloud leads off with a curious mashup of his own band and Momioro Clover Z in which the former band's shifts in rhythm match surprisingly well with the idol group's distinctive penchant for chopping aggressively (and sometimes illogically) between seemingly unconnected melodies.

Producers such as Kenichi "Hyadain" Maeyamada and metal-influenced rock band Coaltar of the Deepers' Narasaki, both of whom work with Momoiro Clover Z, are already from an alternative background and they undoubtedly bring that need to challenge boundaries to their idol-music work, too. Even if you think the result sounds horrible, it is progressive in its own way, and the idols that get the most attention from the experimental fringes tend to be the more musically ambitious ones.

Running Man ep 75 Isubs is out for VIPs, just watched it. At first I thought it was gonna be boring, but it turned out to be really fun again. I usually feel this way when I don't see a fun location straight away or something, but it always turns out to be great no matter what.

Nah, I've been here for months and all I do is point out awesome pictures of Sooyoung and Soyeon that other people post, occasionally commenting on song. I think it works out perfectly

I think Jia is gorgeous beyond belief, and I think she has an outstanding and beautiful voice. She's never really been in any shows (that I know of), so I'm not sure how her acting or personality is..though if you guys know of any, I'd love to see them.

It's easy to be outshadowed when you have Suzy and Fei right beside you especially since they're only 4.

New Big Bang Album is so good. Intro would probably be my favorite song if it wasn't 48 seconds long.

Intro > Love Dust > Bad Boy > Blue > Fantastic baby > Ain't no Fun

T.O.P saying Boom Shaka Laka on Ain't no Fun just ruins that song for me, and the Wings songs is too ballad-ish rock. Biggest fault is that the Intro is somehow not a full song.

Tipping ever closer to going to see them during the world tour
