Wait Kanye supports Trump?

kanye is a moron and an apologist for fascism
"We haven't asked him," he told CNN's Erin Burnett on "OutFront." "He considers himself a friend of the President-elect, but it's not the venue. The venue we have for entertainment is filled out, it's perfect, it's going to be typically and traditionally American, and Kanye is a great guy but we just haven't asked him to perform. We move on with our agenda."
Okay, that is obviously racist as fuck.
Hmm, not sure about that title.
I'm struggling to think of a Kanye West song that would fit the tone of an inauguration.
Kanye you played yourself.
they just called you a nigger to your face
wasn't right for the "typically and traditionally American event.
Bahahahahahahaha, ethere'dKanye, who was born in Chicago and performs a style of music, hip-hop, that was invented in the United States on the streets of Trump's New York in the late 1970s

America was founded on the principal of dissent, especially towards government. Kanye embodies this principal much more than anything else that will be playing at the inauguration.I think what they're saying is that Ye isn't the kind of music that you associate with patriotism and pro-America fanfare that the type event has to have, and I agree.
Of course what they're really saying is "we can't have a black guy playing".
I mean, he'll attack Trump but he likes to shock people. One of many reasons why Kanye is Kanye.Goddamn that's blatant. Blatant enough to wake Kanye up?
Looks like some spliced up quoting to incite rage
Seems like we haven't asked him, and here's how "awesome" it will be. As opposed to we haven't asked him because "x".
Of all the horrible things you could sling at this administration this looks reaching for outrage.
TI is a smarter man than I ever expected him to be.

Maybe you should read the thread title before you get on that high horse.
but Hip Hop IS American. why was there a need to mention that it's not "traditionally American?" you don't think Kanye is a skilled enough singer to entertain the crowd of an inauguration of a President?
Not subtle at all I see.
Kanye really looks like a dumbass after this.
Very interesting how the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is Traditionally American.
Kanye you played yourself.
they just called you a nigger to your face
Kanyes a fucking idiot
They sung about Superman how more American can you getAnd yet 3 Doors Down are.
Nah, definitely coded enough. Look how many people are jumping through hoops and trying to find ways around it here in this thread. And that's on a site like GAF. If there are that many people here on GAF not particularly bothered by it, outside of here? But none of that's surprising in any way. That's not nearly coded enough language.
We just jumped backwards from like 2-3 levels of abstraction to just 1.
."Even if you in a Benz, you still a nigga in a coupe", Kanye
Kanye befriended Trump to pull off some stunt at the inaugural and they saw through it
I'm struggling to think of a Kanye West song that would fit the tone of an inauguration.
amazing how this dude can get reactions like this without even fucking doing anything at all
At what point will someone from Trump's cabinet get tired of the pretense and just drop the N word on live TV?
Yup. You were just giving him a photo op. Even T.I. picked up on that shit. T.I.
