This isn't clicking for me right on the initial listen like MBDTF did.

Same, which is crazy seeing how hyped I was for it, rabid over every single leak. Will do a second listen through tomorrow.
EDIT: And it's nothing to do with only liking hip hop or anything like that, I've been loving the different sounds on this album from day one since the leaks, I'm open to any sound. There is something not satisfying about the project as a whole though.

I'd say the lyrics on this album are very similar to MBDTF, in terms of self-deprecation and sarcasm. Not "lyrical," by any means, but raw and emotional and cruel and angry.
