Kanye West - The Life of Pablo |OT2| I miss the OT1 Kanye.

double jump

you haven't lived until a random little kid ask you "how do you make love".
Don't know if it gets any crazier but what I saw on prez Hilton was fairly tasteful.

Kanye will become public enemy #1 tomorrow again on the news sites.

I love it that Kanye doesn't care and is willing to be the villain.

That was kinda cool. I like how they shot it. Very voyeurustic but still unnerving. Seeing these figures in a dormant state but the camera placement had it seem like they could open their eyes any moment.

But maybe I'm just trying to justify this because I bought floor tickets to his tour.

So.

Why is Beyoncé not in the video?

Seems like it's mostly a gallery of important/controversial figures from both the song and Kanye's life/social circle's life. White Knighting Bey was pretty important in the whole Taylor debacle...

I'm not sure I can see how he could get sued. It's not her, and nowhere does he say it's her.

I brought this up in the other thread before it got locked.

I'd say the intention of this video could be reasonably contested in court. Just watching it, it's clearly attempting to depict Taylor Swift in a potentially damaging situation. It might fall under libel.

This is different from a porn parody or nude body-double or bad photoshop or whatever, because those things don't claim to actually be Taylor Swift. The nature of this video does not make it clear at all that this is parody, and is actually very convincing. Paying somebody large sums of money to craft 1:1 recreations of yourself and a serial rapist, and then take video of these creations nude in bed together, and then releasing it publicly with no further context could be an issue.

I'm not saying that anybody should or would sue, or even that they could win, but I can definitely see a potential case here.

It's going to be interesting to see if there will be any fallout from this, aside from pissed off bloggers and tumblr users. I don't think there will be much. Maybe some think piece articles.

The problem is that not only would it be hard to prove, the primary thing you'd do by bringing the lawsuit in the first place is spreading the video even farther than it would have otherwise. And, and this isn't a small thing, bringing much more notoriety and, more importantly, traffic to Tidal. Which is absolutely something Taylor Swift, as a de-facto spokesmodel for Apple Music, would not want to do.

Like, she could take it to court, but it'd be so hard to win that there'd be no point to it except to pay her (and his) lawyers.

Oh, I totally agree with you. I don't think this is an actual issue for Taylor, she probably even knew about it beforehand.

I just disagree with saying that you can't sue because it's not actually her in the video. Something like this could be construed as damaging, especially since it's difficult to decipher what is real.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
I think he's completely lost it.

I dont think thats the case...he is just pushing the limits which is kinda understandable when you see what he did in the past...its though to outdo himself.

At the end its music/art - he doesnt really care about catering to anyone.

nah he clearly cares about getting publicity. the dude married a kardashian, and he himself is clearly just a publicity whore.

looking forward to his concert for sure but man this dude's ploy is so corny. it's so transparent at this point.

i like how he too shook to put Jay Z/Beyonce in it though haha. Still has them on the god pedestal I see.
