More so to do with dinosaur and age of the earth dillusions than his bigotry though.

It always astounds me when I realize that there are people out their who really think rainbows exist solely because God created them as a sign and are waiting for a year with out rainbows to know that shit is going down.

I always think:

1) You don't know how fucking light works? You can't just turn off rainbows without fucking up everything.

2) How the fuck you going to know that a rainbow hasn't happened, across the whole planet, at all times during a year?



Yet still, people still throw it around like "hey gotta keep track of those rainbows"

The Gays took all the colours of the Rainbow from Noah. They took all the colours of the rainbow. That's as many as the entire visible spectrum. And that's terrible.

The rainbow was supposed to be a symbol that God will not ever again destroy life on Earth by flooding it. All other ways of destroying it are still on the table.

What kind of person has to "justify" using a rainbow motif on a tribute to a story where the rainbow has a central part in?

Like, did he really felt that if he didnt say "he's taking back the rainbow" people would think it's a gay pride ark?

I see, weird don't recall getting taught that in primary or secondary religious education classes and I can live with evangelicals thinking my lapsed Catholicism is crazy. If a Mad man thinks you're sane then you've got problems.

Yeah, just say "the tale of Noah's Ark had a rainbow so I lit it up this way." Rainbows are used to show gay pride, doesn't mean that's the only way they can be used whilst he seens to think so. 6

Maybe its a just a mormon thing.

But everyone mormon I've ever known took it this way:

After the Flood, god put a rainbow in the heavens to show hes not going to do that again, its cool.

Then they took it a step further with, when you don't see rainbows anymore... gods gonna wreck things again.

Now there are plenty of teachings you hear about in church or in seminary school as a teenager, that are super common and people say, but aren't really nailed down, kind of like the whole "God lives on a planet called Kolob" or "when you die if you are good and get to the best kingdom you get to be a god and have your own planet" but they arent very clearly written down in many places, partly because I think even the church realizes they are patently ridiculous and wanna avoid that bad PR.

It is a gay pride ark. The twist is Ken is the evangelical we have been waiting for. He's just bluffing his flock while displaying his devotion to actually being the king of fabulous.

I love how he tried to reclaim it while giving it an even gayer color scheme.

But yeah, its super weird to see real otherwise serious people talking about rainbows in such a way.

So when I see Ken Ham wanting to "take back the rainbow" doesn't surprise me at all, rainbows are serious business to people and they seem to seriously believe even though there was light, until god said so no rainbows happened.

To many people it means freedom, love, pride, a new era, and, specifically, the LGBTQ movement. So Ken Ham is against the LGBTQ movement, even as he acknowledges it's about love and freedom. And his plan is to literally take rainbows.

He's a fucking cartoon character. It's a shame him and people like him have to exist in real life.

Everyone knows that rainbows were added in the Earth 1.1 update, before he didn't have the refraction physics running without chugging the whole planet down to 70% speed, but wiping all the npc's and resetting the map freed a shitload of overhead, giving him enough time to work on a virtually identical rainbow shader with only 6% the cost of the original brute forced implementation before the npc's and environments started getting complicated again.
