My son is 6. He loves Mario. Todays Mario is totally different then mine growing up. If he dies enough, here comes the almighty Impenetrable Pwing to save the day. Ive taught him better. Its a crutch and it doesnt have to be used because not every game will offer you a way out when things get rough. Ive shown him to become better through trial and error and earn the right to play the next level.
Kudos to you man! I think gaming can be a really fun way to teach kids about self worth, patience, challenge and problem solving. I believe what you are doing will make your son a better person. The cheat, glitch, troll, pay to win generation of today is going to have a rough time in the real world.
