so am i the only person that kinda giggled?
Darkflow, your posts seriously lack substance. Is this all you intend to do? Make sarcastic snide remarks to every other person? You're not saying anything. Every comment you're making here is just another little nothing meant to make you seem like you're too cool to care. Theres a good chance you'll just continue with a response to this, but you should know the act is pretty transparent.
He's an 11 year old kid. His brain is not fully developed and many kids his age don't fully understand the consequences of such actions. There is a reason 'stranger danger' become so well-known, kids are gullible.
Man, what's with all the harsh people in here? Ever heard of empathy?
He wasn't trying to have a friend or family help him with a tough part, which is what Shareplay was actually designed for. He was trying to have a stranger cheat for him in a multiplayer game because he was too lazy to put in the effort to be lazy on his own.
None of that makes sense considering you have made no attempt at a real argument, but whatever. Two Words, arguing with you is like arguing with a anti-vaxxer. No mater what anyone says or does, you will always feel strong in your opinion. That's fine, but you then keep pressing and trying to make the other person feel dumb for having there own opinion, that is not fine. So whatever man.
Bungie is free to remove any exploits they wish. Anything left in the game is fair game. "Against Bungie's wishes" is a laughable transgression.

As soon as somebody made a moral claim about who deserved what, it became a philosophy discussion. It's a video about a kid crying over a video game ffs. This is not a philosophy discussion.
Stealing is illegal. We have laws to deal with that. So that part isn't comparable to this.
The kid didn't get reported to Bungie, he had his work destroyed. So that part isn't comparable either.
I bet the person that did it was just like the people in this thread. Trying to justify his actions by saying, "He was trying to cheat!!!!!"
God help them.
I never said it was. I don't get how the context here changes much though. Its pretty obvious when people want everybody to know just how damn indifferent they are and that's what you're doing. It's a video about a kid crying over a video game ffs. This is not a philosophy discussion.
My melons will crush your puny potatoes!
Yeah blame the gamer and ban their accounts! It is much easier than fixing and patching the game. What an asshole anti consumer thinking.
And say what? "I am 11 and using a game rated for teens with unrated online interactions and handed full control of my system over to someone willingly"? Sony and Bungie will, righly, tell him he's underage to use a Master Account. That's fucked up. I hope he at least reported them to Sony/Bungie.
Brain not fully developed and not understanding consquence by 11? Are you serious? He not underdeveloped, he's just stupid.
I did not say it was a perfect comparison, just a better one. Kid was trying to do some shady stuff he wasn't supposed to. I bet if the stranger told him he found a glitch that made him have 2x as much health as everybody else he would've done the same thing and you would still be defending him because he's just 11.
You come off like a sanctimonious asshole. You know what I would do if I was this 11 year old's parent? I'd tell him to stop crying over a fucking video game. Holy hell.
Some awful comments ITT.
Saddens me when people talk about karma. Hypocrites. Victim blaming. Cheating? Give me a break. It's abusing an exploit at best. Any decent MMO just fixes these exploits. Punishing the player is a weak decisiom imo. And by the looks of, this glitch wasn't even legit?
If this is karma, you guys have a weird sense of morals. The kid didn't lose his characters by fate or coincidence. Another person did it. Intentional. Because said person is an asshole. Has nothing to do with karma.

That cheat/glitch doesn't even exist. He probably got talked into it by those guys.
Meanwhile nothing. One or two people made single comments wishing violence on the asshole. Don't try and rope crap like that together.I did not say it was a perfect comparison, just a better one. Not like asking a stranger to watch your stuff (which, you should also not do and I hope this kid learns from this experience not to do that) I bet if the stranger told him he found a glitch that made him have 2x as much health as everybody else he would've done the same thing and you would still be defending him because he's just 11.

Meanwhile you have people wishing physical violence on the person who trolled him and somehow the people laughing at this video are morally bankrupt?
Again, who is being cheated in this hypothetical glitch?Whether the cheat existed or not is irrelevant. If he didn't TRY to cheat, his characters would be intact.
Way to understand how much time and care they've put into something.

so cheating as a kid is acceptable? If you have kids, please tell me you are not teaching them that...
That's some shitty parenting. Lending something to a school friend isn't some innately stupid act and no kid should be made to feel like they are stupid for doing so.When I was this kid's age I lent my Gameboy with Pokemon Red in it to a school friend of mine. Never saw it again. I cried and cried.
Know what my parents did? They punished me for being so dumb, and definitely didn't get me a replacement. Guess what? I learned my lesson, never did anything like that again, became wiser for it. Better than if my parents coddled me and told me it wasn't my fault.

He's 11... You sound like a huge prick.
It occurred as a direct consequence of trying to cheat the system.
Ergo, if he had not tried to cheat the system, he would still have his characters.
It's sad but it's par for the course with MMOs (and MMO-like's, like Destiny). If you trust someone you don't know with your account the chances are they will fuck you over. It's certainly happened to me.
I'm sure the asshole who did this was doing it for the sake of justice and karma, guys.
I can't believe people are defending an asshole who did somethong cowardly and then proceed to use the word karma or "deserved it" in the same sentence.
Whether the cheat existed or not is irrelevant. If he didn't TRY to cheat, his characters would be intact.
That's not shitty parenting. If I kept doing stuff like that, I would've kept getting my shit stolen with no recourse.
