Could be. Though, Microsoft seems to want to push digital distribution hardcore. If the game looks really popular, then they might think this is a good gateway game to get people to go DD that otherwise wouldn't.

Yeah. That could work too. You get a limited, pro, special, whatever edition that has some sort of physical goodies (an arcade stick, a limited edition pad, etc.) and you get the DL voucher to get your game. The best of both worlds
 
Glacius with Range normals, eh? Sounds great already. I wonder if that's the Ice stab seen in the E3 trailer, of if he has some jump / low crouching screen normals too..?

Stil hoping to see Orchid at E3, or at least some female character reveal. Not even just for her... but just to see how well their female character style works out. "Janetoya Jackson" army won't work out so well in 2013 now, we actually need different face models and body builds now!
heck, could of used them then... not like Chun-Li and Cammy were body-clones back in SSFII, for instance...

It's really fast paced. Lots of rock, paper, scissors, in a row but it plays out well in an interesting way.

This sounds neat. I am not a big fighting games guy - I enjoy them but will never be any good against other players or something. I think I do best at MK but the biggester factor is because I enjoy the setting and characters. In SF I always liked the different chracters ike Makoto or Adon, but never get good at them because they are so different.

I hope I get Spinal and can play that character I remember when I played the old games at a friends house. I mean holy shit it's a pirate skeleton out of that stop-motion monster movie!

I loved those movies when i was a kid too, and yeah Spinal definitely reminded me of them. I think he might have been the first character i selected when i played Killer Instinct.

at the time, I always thougt spinal was a ripoff of the skeletons from golden axe.
Only years later I discovered the existence of that old film.
 
I hope madcatz does a stream today b/c i'm so eager to see the latest build. I have a feeling we're getting a lot of new good info today/this weekend. The composer Mick mentioned that the character select screen music will be in this build - and it should mimic the old versions.

I'm loving the music, I'm just hoping we still hear old familiar melodies from each character's original level music. I'd like it if it was just the original tracks, redone. I'm sure that may be what they're going after, but it's hard to tell with the snippets.

I think the auction was based in the US, I imported it over to the UK. I still have it in storage, I'm hoping I find another for me to actually wear. The UK had the soundtrack CD included with the main release.
 
This is probably the best topic to ask: does anyone know where you can buy Killer Instinct t-shirts? Even on Ebay I have found nothing over the years. Those sweets leather jackets the dancers wore at E3 back then would be the shit...

Hopefully we'll have clothing made for the release of the new game.

I am not sure of streams, which is aggravating the hell out of me

Trailer may be today as mick gordon kept teasing Friday Friday Friday

Apparently the new gameplay systems (the risk:reward combo/breakers) are in the build on the floor so maybe the reveal is on Sunday

I am stoked I will be available to watch that stream :>
 
Agreed, this game is really getting my fighting game juices flowing again, I might even watch some of the other EVO events this weekend.
