I'm in for this one when I can stream it. 3.5 too long for theaters these days. That's basically an entire day with previews.

One of the last books I actually read. Surprised it was made into a movie. Happy to hear it is on the longer side as the story is pretty crazy and deserves to have as complete a picture as they could make it.

Also... If I can sit through movies that lasted nearly 3 hours or more (Zack Snyder's Justice League, The Lord of the Rings trilogy extended editions, Schindler's List, GoodFellas, Lawrence of Arabia, etc) MULTIPLE times... Then I can sit through this and be amazed by a master.

Yeah fuck that if I'm feeling it I will just read the book.

I tried to like The Irishman but I wasn't eating apple sauce in a rocking chair so turns out I couldn't. No more Scorsese slogs for me.

I think The Irishman was expertly paced. I started watching it at 1AM, because I had a long day at work and I couldn't put it down until I was done. Scorsese has made slow, meditative films that go on forever (in a good way, of course), especially when he goes all personal with stories dealing with faith, but KotFM seems to be one of those that suck you in, running time be damned, and spits you out when it is ready to do so. Absolutely no worries about running time.
