Firewire said:One thing I loved about you're video's is the fact that iron sights are used correctly in this game. R2 was a major disappointment in terms of not actually looking down the barrel of the rifle. It really bothered me that they don't actually use the sights on the gun in R2. K2 gets it right, and I think I'll end up using iron sights more in certain situations because of it.
TTP, I'm not sure if you have had the chance to use the sniper rifle in K2, but if you have can you tell us what you think of it? I just hope it isn't like the Fareye in R2 where if you aim at someone and another person runs by it automatically shifts to the guy running by. Its just something I find really annoying.
Great video's by the way!
stuburns said:I think there is an aim assist, it does that thing where the amount of assist is reduced by the amount of time you shoot in a set time, the reticle swells to show the accuracy lowering.
Oh I'm not knocking Salamun at all, but of the three levels in the beta it's clearly the one with the least amount of physics and stuff. Which, if that's the only level he played, would prompt him to write that kind of comment in his previewSolidSnakex said:Salamun Market is actually my favorite level. As the rocket is shot, the lighting shows a guy in the back on a ledge turning around. Awesome looking!
SolidSnakex said:Yeah, there's definitely more damage in other levels. It's not a huge amount, but considering most multiplayer games have no damage at all it's not something that really makes sense to complain about.

Come on, how can you fault gamespot when it was sony's fault for not buying some ad space before this preview went up. Freaking sony.roMonster said:Very vanilla preview from Gamespot.

O_O, that didn't really make sense because there are 3 gifs floating out there that define the term physics-based money shot.

TTP said:Indeed. Makes as much sense as saying Killzone 2 doesn't spawn a hot woman in my room every time I play it. That's disappointing.
But then again it probably does that on some kind of subliminal level as I do get an erection.
there are certainly no physics-based money shots such as deformable scenery or movable objects.
I can't find that too ..DunpealD said:Where is that sentence? I just read the article and there's no sight of that one. Maybe they've erased it:lol

?Killzone 2 has a distinctive look to it, but the multiplayer maps don't really give the engine much chance to show off. There are lens flare effects and the weapons have plenty of detail to them, but the environments are very static with no movable objects or vehicles. The sound is impressive though, with some really meaty weapon effects from the standard sidearms and automated turrets. And while we sometimes had trouble getting into multiplayer games, the lobby system was quick and painless, allowing us to get into the action immediately after connecting.

They had it (KZ2) last night and it looked pretty damn good, it really looks good. If it had CoD4 control sensitivity and tuning, it'd be the mother of all shooters. Oh my god.
I don't know about that. I just happened to be walking around the Salamun Market map and saw a wooden pallet sitting there so I decided to shoot it, obliterating it to pieces. There's also little like, gas tanks and stuff that I shoot at and they explode. Seems like he's kind of reaching with the vehicles line (imo)....There are lens flare effects and the weapons have plenty of detail to them, but the environments are very static with no movable objects or vehicles.

You can yeah.Cerberus said:You can't change the sensitivity in KZ2?

Static and no "movable vehicles"? Did he even see the god damn air support? I realize it's not a vehicle you can use in terms of moving from point A to point B, but jesus, of all the things to complain about.
stuburns said:You can yeah.
I have some issues with putting commands on the R3/L3 buttons, but the controls are great, it plays as good, if not better than any console shooter I've played, and I've pretty much played them all this generation.
Yes. Yes it is. At least the configuration I use...Cerberus said:Yeah, I have problems with R3/L3 too. Some people in this thread have said you only need to push down once on L3 to sprint so I'm glad to hear that. Is R3 used for melee attack?

I think this is what Garnett is talking about when he says that he would like it to control like COD 4. The default sensitivity is a bit tighter, especially if you're coming from COD 4...SolidSnakex said:Yep, i've got mine turned all the way up. I think you need it if you hope to survive.

I love the mobility of Halo 3, I dislike just HOW mobile they are...like they're on the freaking moon.
KZ2 has the right balance, you can jump all over obstacles you need to.
In resistance 2, you can't jump over ANYTHING.
