As others mentioned, if you are going to complain about glitches then tell us. Or better yet, tell GG and give them the chance to evaluate if they are glitches and if so if they can fix them.
Helghasts' red eyes are iconic and are part of the gameplay. I guess the desert level with the flowers that look suspiciously like the soldier's red eyes was missed on those that played at 1up.
A lot of the criticisms apply just as equally to highly regarded shooters such as Gears 2 and COD4, yet for some reason KZ just gets shitted on.
I just don't get it.

Cirekiller said:It's just frustrating to see Killzone get so many complaints that also occur in all FPS genre games. Games that they gave high praise to and high review scores.
It just seems for some games they look harder to find faults. COD4 had a lot of problems they claimed KZ2 has in SP mode and I still enjoyed it.
neojubei said:I find it funny now the Helghast are an issue when they were not before. I've watched most of the play3-live videos from that french website and oh crap it looks so damn good, so good in fact you really have to nitpick to not even give it any praise.
Kagari said:The media's attitude is just a part of the long list of the things that are wrong with this generation.

Snipes424 said:Anyone here work at Gamestop? Just curious, but how many pre-orders does KZ2 have already?
neojubei said:Yea I just get the feeling that 1up is not forgiving of killzone 2 as they are many other shooters. If killzone did not look as good as it does 1up would be commenting on how it does not hold up to the e3 video.
I ultimately feel sorry for GG, because killzone 2 has had so much negativity in the press and GG is trying everything they can to change that but places like 1up will probably never change their opinion. Most of the staff at 1up probably already judged the game from the E3 video and are unwilling to change.
the flying boss? it already looked on par with bosses in other games like gears etc. always room for improvement, though. GG obviously have high standards.Kuroyume said:Fortunately, I managed to watch the 1st and just a bit of the last (boss) video before everything was taken down at Gamersyde. I'm not sure what was wrong in there, but maybe it was in the other videos.
have you got any sense of how the development community is perceiving the game?Iain Howe said:There has been a definite sense of having backs to the walls working on Killzone 2. I remember reading the reaction to E305 and thinking that we weren't going to get away with anything at all when it came time to deliver. Personally I think the shock response to the E307 trailer and build was a pretty honest reaction. People had to post it right away, they came back from the event floored and there wasn't enough 'post processing' time for that reaction to fade before the articles had to be online.
We're all adults here, at the end of the day and when we read some of the reportage from sites we can compare it to what we see with our own eyes or our experience of the Beta and do the maths. I personally believe Sony is still paying for some of the arrogance it showed at the beginning of this generation. I suspect most Gaffers will make their own minds up.

Well, you see what's happening here. We don't let shit slide and speak up. Godspeed, GG.Iain Howe said:There has been a definite sense of having backs to the walls working on Killzone 2. Dante said:Ugh 1up is flat out terrible. I do enjoy 1up Yours, but goddamn everything else they do is laughable. Keep Tina Sanchez FAR away from this game, as well as the asian dude with the George Lucas neck :/
test_account said:Some great videos, thanks for posting these!I took some snapshots from some of the videos as well. Killzone 2 looks amazing! I really like the detail in the first picture here where the blue light from the "vest" (or what it is?) actually reflects on that guy's face.

I do, and I know there's at least one at my store.Snipes424 said:Anyone here work at Gamestop? Just curious, but how many pre-orders does KZ2 have already?
SolidSnakex said:I wonder if there'd be complaints about the lack of enemy variety if you were playing as the Helghasts and the ISA were the enemies?
Wouldn't it be funny if they just used the 05 trailer as the TV spot? :lolmakingmusic476 said:QFT. Good luck Guerrilla.
Btw, y'all should so some SERIOUS marketing. Maybe show an edited version of the Helghan trailer on tv? That would get people going... :O
Something aired during the Superbowl would be big, too. Sony, get on this!
Ugh, no offense but I don't want another Haze...Callibretto said:I have a feeling we're switching sides to Helghanst, that would be pretty shocking.
MvmntInGrn said:1up brainstorm for KZ2 preview:
But, but, but the graphics... oh shit their awesome...
Ha! The AI! Oh shit... its awesome too....
The gameplay! GOTCHA! Oh wait... It's the most realistic shooter out there...
ummm.... maybe we can like the game? NO! THAT WOULD BE WEAKNESS!
The Helghast! Thats it! They look boring. Ha! Not Perfect! Fuck Yeah. Its a lie but HEY its something new to dislike!
NutJobJim said:Also the 1UP preview seemed pretty positive if you ask me. It really is funny seeing you guys throw a tantrum over the fact that some people don't like some parts of the game. Nobody in the preview said KZ2 was a bad game, some just personally don't like the aesthetics and the more realistic feel of the weapons.
Some of you really need to stop throwing tantrums over minor nitpicks and grow up a little-and when I'm telling you to grow up, you know something's up, because I'm pretty immature :lol
I don't think Guerrilla Games excels at making games "fun"

Supposedly, through some miraculous update, there will be an online deathmatch option available. But seeing how well Liberation follows through on its promising premise, I wouldn't count on it
