I think people are misinterpreting the 1up preview. First of all, chill out. It's a fact that most of us want Killzone 2 to be a great game. I'm pretty sure that the 1up staff isn't "out to get" the PS3 or its games. Sure, there's people on the staff that seem to play the 360 more, but in the end it doesn't matter.
The preview was pretty informative at all, but most importantly, it shows different perspectives. I don't know where scooter is coming from, I presume he represents the gamer who's played killzone already. It's known that Nick faps for COD4 and Halo 3, so he's representing those gamers. Tina...uh, I guess she covers gamers that like dynamic foes. Shane covers the people who don't always play shooters, but still appreciates the great ones.
From the beginning, Scooter's preview is positive. My only problem with his preview is that he didn't state what the "annoying glitches" were. No matter, it was generally positive and clearly hopeful. Continuing, Nick points out something important from the get-go: he says that the game is for those looking for a more realistic experience. From the games he plays (halo and cod4) this doesn't suit his fancy, but that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate what the game is trying to do. The only person I don't feel like defending is Tina. I'm sure someone will understand where she's coming from...I don't though. W/e, let's move along. Shane's preview was great. He shows that KZ2 is a contender for a great FPS. Not much to say other than that.
Everyone just needs to read the preview and take it for what it's worth. Look for the perspective that suits your fancy and then listen to that. As for the segment on the 1up show, they did seem overly negative. They need to a.) talk more about the positives and less negatives and/or b.) edit it differently.
That's my 2 cents.
