Killzone Mercenary Beta Discussion

the beta is awesome- I'm stunned at the level of gfx and stability...great stuff, this was on my bargain bin list but is now day one!
 
I'm sooo impressed by this game (beta). It's like they're doing everything right. Totally customizable controls, HUD, setting, sensitivities, touchscreen or button. And it looks incredible! Yes, now's the time to buy a Vita. I was even playing a few matches today on the bus while tethered to my Galaxy Note 2. I was also using Beats Wireless headphones, with built in mic for party chat. I didn't talk much because people would look at me funny / rob me.
 
God damned this Beta is awesome.

I cant get over how good it looks, plays, feels, sounds, etc.


Its really an amazing experience to be had on a handheld.


Hope this sells as well as it should.
 
The beta sounds amazing, I can't wait until it's public. It's a shame that the PS Home stand was so awkward to deal with when it launched, otherwise I would have been in the beta.

Same here.

I have yet to play anything online on Vita though.

That said, I'm glad initial impressions seem very positive because the game just looks awesome.

I'm currently playing through the "HD" version of the original game and it amazes me how far this series has come to the point it's probably going to be the "definitive" FPS on handhelds.
 
Is there any way to...not use the touchscreen during menus? I'd the only thing that really bugs me so far.

Especially when spawning. I'd rather just press X.

Dont think you can for melees or interrogation, nut for ammo pickups, you can use triangle, it even says says on the touchscreen logo that appears

How are loadouts compared to classes?

Wish I had a Vita, I am so loving KZ's direction this gen. Thought the IP would go downhill after KZ3

Interrogation is for high level single player enemies.

HUD are becoming ridiculous these days. I don't really mind it if you can turn it off though, which I am glad you can do in this game. Scaling the size of the HUD would be a nice feature too.

Really wish I knew this answer. I'm planning on buying a Vita within the next month but if I won that key, I would have gone out right this moment and bought one, lol.

Guys in the single game campaign what is the ai like because from some of the videos I seen they look dumb as hell.
 
I can't wait until I get in this. Will be my first shooter on the Vita. Wanted to wait until a quality one released and this looks promising. Believe my E3 Home code goes live the 21st*, see you guys then.

We do but the Home code apparently is for peasants and will be at the end of the month and like a week away from launch. Then they put up sign ups which Vita GAF didn't shout like they do to their stupid game RPG/ Japanese shit so at least I didn't see that. So now there's people in the closed beta and I have a home code to wipe my ass with. :(

Aww man I definitely thought it was the line from KZ1 where Rico kills some Helghast during gameplay and he's like "1 8 7 on that motherfucking Higg" omg that sheer joy and laughter I got from him saying that was crazy. KZ1 was such a great but flawed game
