If the opposition can't take you down it sure is. I had a bunch of games earlier today where I'd keep getting killed before I could use them. Then tonight I had one where I got a kill off almost every rocket in the clip (which I think holds some crazy number of rockets, maybe upwards of 8?)
 
Had three matches this morning. This game is surprisingly solid - I don't know if I've been lucky or what but I found matches very quickly and had no particular problems with lag. Controls must be adjusted from the default style but once I got the right one form me I had a lot of fun!

Not to talk about the graphics, never seen anything like this on a portable device

Yes, I believe there is just one map in the beta but I like it. I've played around 4 or 5 matches and am just now starting to get the feel for how best to move around the map.

I had an issue this morning where it wouldn't connect. I had the game running previously when my Vita went to sleep yesterday. I exited the game and went back into multiplayer and it connected right away.

Yeah that's not it for me because I just started up the game, and got disconnected from my first match. Really annoying. Hope this isn't an issue in the full game!
 
Great game. Holy balls, finally a good and seemingly long-lasting competitive MP shooter on Vita!

Vita is beast, shit looks ridiculous.

It's a shame there seems to be no voice support though? Apparently it's only through the party app.
 
Most people just run around and shoot each other. They don't really do the tasks.

I haven had a single kick or disconnect. The only bug I've seen was that in one round there weren't any Vanguards, they just didn't respawn, tho the mission was to secure them.

I find the Vita's sticks to be too small to be usable in most games. There simply isn't enough range in them.
 
Love this game. It's everything that felt good about Killzone 2, but more condensed. Can't believe I'm playing a fully fledged shooter that looks like the big boy console version on a handheld. The full release can't come soon enough.
 
I feel there's way to many ways to get a Vanguard during a match. Is it really necessary that they are in our loadouts?

Otherwise this beta is great and the graphics are insane.

That's probably my best game so far, but I usually get high 40's or 50's.

I'll add you when I get home from work or send me a friend request. That goes for anyone else here. I'd love to get a team together that's going for the objective. It would be pure domination.
 
I'm really enjoying this so far. Still adjusting the sensitivity of the sticks to suit my liking but other than that it's looking awesome.

Is there any good list of gameplay mechanics for the beta? I still have no idea about knifing. I turned off all touchscreen controls so I hope its not linked to that. Anyone know?
 
Man, I try to bust out the objectives but I suck, and I just blasted on. Every game I have played my team got wrecked, thinking it was all tdm or something. Really needs voice chat. Im of the opinion that any/all multiplayer and co-op game should have some form of chat.
 
Really really enjoying this so far. The condensed smaller scale multi is excellent.

Has anyone noticed other folk cheating ? I saw 2 people (in different matches) who you just couldn't kill no matter how much you shot them. They were basically invulnerable the whole time and at the end of the matches had 0 deaths and many kills. I don't mind being killed due to me being rubbish but fuck man, I hate cheaters.
 
Game is fun will definitely get but I have been kicked a lot of times for lost connection or bad connection. Might just be my WIFI.

And I couldn't figure out how to do the Hacking thing in the matches, any tutorials on that?

Can they add another map during the beta lol? I'm getting burned out of it. Eventually I'll stop playing after I buy a couple more weapons gotta keep things fresh for the final release

I hope they will. I had more fun in the closed beta with DM and Warzone and the two maps.
 
Playing with randoms is rough. Guys on my team never stay together and never go for objectives. I don't think I have won a single match. Also love starting game 4v4 and 5 minutes later realizing it is now me against 4 as everyone left on my side.

I dread the day players work as a team, and I can't just sneak behind one of them -> interrogate -> see everyone on my map -> sneak behind one of them ...

It's only until recently that hasn't worked, with people throwing exploding shit everywhere.

In almost every game I've been in, people don't even try to win Interrogation. Probably because of how wonky and difficult the melee is. That, and you're at risk of being killed or having your Interrogation stolen by a teammate while you perform it.

Or your teammate just shoots and kills when you're trying to go for non-lethal shots.

Or you accidentally fire one too many times and kill your target.

And then sometimes you get that rare case where the touchscreen QTE just flat out refuses to work.

I regularly see people work together for Hacker however. It's quite amazing when you get one player hacking it, and two more surround him to protect him from every direction.

I've had players watch my front and back as I interrogate an enemy. And had a cool moment where an enemy got the drop on me, was about to melee me, and just as I deflected his melee he received a bullet to the head.

I hope there's a hardcore mode. If you are being pressured, I could imagine teams resorting to killing their own downed comrades to stop enemies from extracting information, especially as it takes a considerable amount of time to 'revive' someone.

I've never had this happen. :\ Nobody even tries to win interrogation on my games. I've taken to camping in the four way in the caves when it comes up just to avoid giving the enemy points by accident.

I wish there was better sensitivity options too. Acceleration is too high for me, makes aiming feel like a chore.
 
I was hoping they would add a way to click on user names at the end of a match and add them to your friends list. Does the vita show you a list if recent players in the chat app like PS3?

I took this advance and connection problems got drastically reduced. Of course, Is not optimal to have the need to do this, and I hope the final release doesn't require this 'fix'.
 
I don't think I'm particularly amazing at shooters and I've never really played Killzone or CoD/BF etc. is it worth jumping into the beta? I don't want to be that guy who dies every 30 seconds.
