My thoughts exactly.
 
After watching the hd vids, its safe to say Ryse will be the graphics king at launch. GG's engine has a long way to go. Sorry for being a bit offtopic. Still buying this game.

Both games have areas where they beat each other. The scale and amount of unique detail in Killzone is very impressive, way beyond current gen. Ryse has some better post processing and facial animations. I give the nod to Killzone because of framerate and resolution combined with the scale but Ryse does best it in some areas.

I think Ryse wins in the character modeling and animation rigs(in cutscenes)
KZ wins in everything else.
 
I think it's worth noting that some journalists in the previews said that the environments are big enough and nonlinear enough to get lost in.

That would never happen in Ryse. Ever. Unless you are confused with north and south.
 
Easily the most impressive looking launch title on any platform - bf4 and Ryse while excellent looking games are both not full 1080p so can't really be mentioned in the same conversation. For the first time in a long, long time, I'm properly interested in a shooter. Slowing down the action and fleshing out the narrative is a great design choice IMO in this age of 5 hr SP campaigns.

This game will sell well. With so many 360 gamers making the jump to the PS4, the game will also have a shooter friendly, untested audience for the taking. If they have put as much effort as they claim into the story and the design, I can see this being something of a turning point for the franchise. If things work out, Sony could finally have its Halo.

My eyes are going to melt this Nov. I'll play this first on my PS4 and then play Ryse on my X1 a week later. Hopefully both games deliver on what looks like great promise.
 
Just to ellaborate, Ryse looks extremely polished now. The game has no glitches, no pop ups, clean iq and a stable frame rate with really high quality post processing effects. SF looks great, but the imperfections like; lod pop ups, disappearing debris, weak explosion effects and hud reflections on the ground due to screen space reflections is totally amateur hour.

Lets be honest here, we were all laughing at Forza 5 for using screen space reflection and hud reflecting on hood of the car... we should be equally harsh on Killzone.

Oh and the particle effects have been downgraded big time compared to the b roll footage imo. The particle effects vanish more quickly now

Jumping in and saying "It's safe to say.." like it's some undeniable truth is not giving an opinion mate, or it's a poorly conveyed one.

The smoke, debris etc disappear too quickly. Makes them look like a fake pyrotechnic effect.

There is something wonky going on with the particle effects in this game.

Must have missed out on the nasty screen tearing happening during gameplay in the latest trailer released a week ago. But thanks for shitting up the thread.

Some of the destruction stuff looks a little odd in slow mo but the particles look spot on to me, although you have watched more footage than I have.

Wow, you just had to take the bait. Fyi, the game is 30fps locked with no tearing currently. Did you bother reading the thread i made yesterday?

But sometimes I wonder about SniperHunter...

SniperHunter goes through phases of trolling and weird opinions and other times he's a pretty solid poster.

people can find different taste in graphical styles

yet certain things for KZ and Ryse can't be comparable as they are different games


Ex. being Open levels vs closed
Realtime destructibility to Cinematic
more Particles to Not having enough info to actually compare
Etc....
 
Guys is Operations mode back in Shadowfall? Really liked that mode in KZ3 with the cut scenes that show your character. And has character customization been confirmed?
