Robert Downey Jr. used to be one-foot in the grave with his drug addiction, now he's one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. Things change, and bad things can happen, you might find what they did morally questionable sure, but hey, seems she's doing alright now.

I take umbrage with this statement because it just comes across as stealth victim-blaming. Again, some people are given privilege and entitlement many others will never get, but again, that shit happened over a fucking DECADE ago.

I have some respect for that tweet someone posted on page one but...

What she seems to be missing is that the bad feelings come from the fact that her fame is based soley on her being a slut, she is not talented. And her contined fame is again, due to her body, and her familys willingness to be exploited in every way possible.

If they stopped with the reality shows, and she stopped posting half and wholly naked pics of herself, she would NOT be famous much anymore. Shes not dropping some incredible album or winning an oscar or a pulitzer. In terms of reasons we should be interested in her, all she really brings to the table are tits and ass.

It's not your daughter's fault it got leaked. Are you going to teach your daughter not to turn negatives into positives? Are you going to tell her off for having sex legally and making a private sex tape?

My Sister is a fan of this family and the TV show and especially this Kendall person. They all sound like air heads to me and I don't get the appeal.

I love the idea of lots of money, but not watching those that have it flaunt it. That's boring, it's like a Zoo/Freak show isn't it? I'm interested in the mechanics behind how people make money, business, entrepreneurs etc. I suppose it's a bit much to expect my Sister to be into that.

Personally I'd be much more comfortable if my Sister had role models from intellectual or sporting fields. Slightly less but also acceptable would be entrepreneurs. That's where I draw my inspiration from. Carl Sagan, Brian Cox, Christopher Hitchens, Albert Einstein, Atatürk, the people on Youtube channel Crash Course etc.

So all the aforementioned posts defending Kim Kardashian as a role model, I hope that will shut you up.

Casuals think she's just someone who got lucky with a break and "famous for being famous", like she came from some Armenian ghetto. That was the roadmap, but not anyone can do that with everything else being the same, her background was the biggest enabler helping her get there.

Grew up in Beverly Hills born to one of the richest lawyers in America. She has dated nothing but multimillionaires all her life and gets VIP treatment to the most exclusive events in the world.

My point is if ppl understood this, they probably wouldn't be so jealous of her fame/fortune since it wasn't all "luck". Contacts and friends helped a lot getting her where she is. Arguably that might the worse of the two since it would be about "need money to make money" and "it's about who you know". As opposed to only just being about making it "real big" solely through the fame game. Personally it's all legit so I have no issue with her fame/money or how she got it, like a lot of "famous for being famous" types.

That's not really the definition of sexism...flip the genders and you still have some talentless person who skyrockets into fame and fortune through who they know, and not what they actually do...unless you consider sex tapes a form of high art.

Count me among those who don't understand what she has ever done to earn any of her success. She's literally famous for being famous. Like, that's her entire life's achievement. Sex tape, reality show, Kanye marriage, $80 million phone game check. There are so many people so much more deserving of that success, fame and money, who will never see anything close to it, so I just can't respect her very much at all.

People here moaning saying she's only rich because she lets people "exploit" her (whatever that means). I can tell if it was any of you in her shoes, y'all would do exactly the same as she did.
