Bad imagery?

I initially read it as like "she died of cancer, and was recently discovered," and it didn't click for a second that it was the cancer that was recently discovered and not her, and I was like "why put that in a twe-oh,"

Definitely a me thing, but probably a somebody else thing, too. World is a big place. Regardless, sucks.

We may as well just have a perpetual "death of our childhood" thread cause it's only getting worse from here.

RIP Kristie, you showed 'em all on Cheers.

Bro that's so true.

RIP Kirsty :messenger_crying:. Thank you for the memories

Jack Nicholson
Dustin Hoffman
Morgan Freeman

I'm going to be a wreck when these guys go :(

Omg, are all the famous ladies in John Travolta's past leaving us from disease? I'm honestly not try to make a joke of this. What an insane coincidence.

So sudden. Fuck cancer forever.

Love her in most of her stuff, and even quite a few of her tweets made me laugh. May she be at peace.

The Era thread on this subject is pathetic
What else is new. They pretend to be forward thinking, but are the first to shit on someone that said something they don't like. Sure, she said stupid stuff. She's old. Most old people say stupid shit.

Fuck that place and fuck anyone shitting on her because she was anti Covid vaccine. I'm 100% for the vaccine, but if someone isn't, then that's fine, whatever.

Had no idea she was a Scientologist. That's interesting. Her role on Cheers left a lasting impression. Her beauty helped a lot. Back in the 2000s the publicity around her weight gain eventually brought her to Oprah over body awareness, diet, and weight loss that helped many. Haven't heard anything out of her since then. Just checked out a few minutes of Fat Actress and it seems pretty funny and I wonder if WandaVision pulled a bit of inspiration from it.

Screams of immaturity.

It's quite possible to strongly disagree with someone's political or social opinions, and still have a little respect when they die. The woman is dead. Continuing to lambast her for the things she said is pointless, childish, and contributes nothing of value.

ResetEra is full of emotionally and socially stunted teens and twenty somethings, who regard social media with far more importance than it deserves.

Uhh, older people dying isn't very coincidental

I remember when Star Trek III was released. My parents didn't seem interested in going to watch it, so I did what all kids that couldn't make it to the theater did……I purchased the official movie magazine! Flipping through the pages, I noticed Saavik was looking different. I thought maybe she and Spock both were effected by the Genesis wave somehow……she was younger and different looking along with young Spock.

When I got to see it on VHS, I realized that they just slotted a new actress into the role of Saavik. The new actress was pretty, but not KA pretty.

We might need to start a female Vulcan appreciation thread because while I never watched much Enterprise that chick was smokin. Kim Cattrall back in the day too whew…

Damn. I basically only really knew her due to Look Who's Talking, 'cuz the movie released when I was a child and it did very well in Italy. She did tons of other stuff I never saw, but this is sad news.

"Cheers" is one of the greatest shows of all time. You owe it to yourself to watch it.
