Yeah, I tend to use controllers half the time with PC games. I was also thinking about PVP as I play a lot of crucible. Titanfall felt great with a 360 pad on my PC. But, I eventually switched to keyboard and mouse as everyone else used them. I like Destiny crucible with everyone using the same input device.

Sony doesn't want to encourage PC as a platform at all. If they're throwing tons of money at Destiny exclusivity again supporting what is now essentially a larger part of Microsoft isn't happening. I mean I wish they would do some of their own PC support and storefront but they're going to fight it until the bitter end.

Destiny is an mmo (or lite), a very PC centric genre. Also, isn't Destiny dlc model basically expansions for an mmo that have been around in PC gaming scene for more than a decade?
Paragon is a MOBA, you don't need precision aiming in that game. SFV is a fighting game and is 60fps on both platforms.

PC players aren't going to be happy with what Bungie considers an expansion pack.
Have you seen what people are willing to buy as expansion packs for 4X games?
I feel like it would be huge. The real question is if the port would be any good and if it'll be consistent with the console versions.
I'd definitely be up for D2 if it's cross play between PC and PS4. I'd probably shift to PC though at that point just cause i only play my ps4 for destiny now.
I'm curious to see how they will make a connection between D1 and D2 progress wise. It'd be nice to get some stuff that can mark you as a legacy player/carry over old exotics.

I still have a pre-owned copy of Destiny lying around, but without PS+ I can't play it right now and I'm low on cash. I was basically planning to smash through the base content and be done with the game, since I don't normally play console shooters if I can help it. Destiny 2 on PC will hopefully be way more up my alley, though.

You can play some of Destiny without PS+. None of the singleplayer stuff requires it.

This all sounds great to me! As long as characters transfer over, it should be brilliant, and the more people that get to enjoy this game the better!
As for the controller vs KB/Mouse and 30fps vs 60fps+ problems, I think if they just limited cross platform play to PvE and private crucible matches that would solve any issues with unfair advantages PC players could have. Would be a shame to introduce all those new players and not let them interact with the series veterans.

Ignoring the potential problems that would be caused by PC players having an advantage, Rocket League, FFXIV, and I'm sure a few others have PS4/PC crossplay.

You can't group up with PS4 players in Rocket League though, only play them in custom matches.

In most cases, players in Destiny are matched up randomly anyways, whether it's with the group finder or phasing random people into the same instance in a zone. I'm guessing you can't group up with players in Rocket League because the game uses either your Steam or your PSN friends lists, and there's no way to pull the info from one on the opposite platform.
Also, not sure how FFXIV does it, but it has it's own separate account system, so I'm assuming it has its own in-game friends list based on your FFXIV account, and not exclusively your PSN. I could be wrong though.

What about the first one? Unless Destiny 2 has it's own story set in a different universe or something like the Final Fantasy franchise does, a lot of PC players are going to have no clue what's going on starting the sequel.

I'm one of those people so I'll keep that in mind. I do own the game on PS4, but I just never got around to playing it at all since I played FFXIV. I only own the base game, as well, but I heard Destiny's story was "eh" anyway.
EDIT: If I ever do get around to it before Destiny 2, I'll go through the base game and see what I think before thinking about The Taken King.... Maybe.
Don't worry PC gamers, we don't have a clue either
