They stated the future of the series will be unveiled in September.
Quite frankly since Origins they fucked up and the series is not for me anymore. Too bad because I loved it in the PS3 era.
I don't think things are going to change for the better, their vision for the future is basically to do a hub as a time portal to different ages and each age is a sandboxed gaas.

We already had AC Infinity, it's called AC Valhalla, it just never wanted to end.
