I'll just put this out there. Is this face creepy or ugly?

I always see your look with short girls who have pink or bright blue hair, often with piercings as well. girls who like the "rocker" look, I suppose

Cool. You just saved me some cash. This is what I prefer.
I don't like loud clothing with a lot going on, that's pretty girly to me.
You're a man, you don't need pretty designs on your t-shirt., and you can look nice and put together without being flashy.
If you think you're being creepy, why shouldn't the person you're talking to think as much too? Shit, your opinion on the matter means more than theirs, even, since you know what you're thinking and not just what you're saying.
Heh, now I have a mental image of dyed bearded ladies of small stature in NIN T-shirts.
It's more like a "I'm taking everyone's advice and feigning confidence, but I seriously hope this doesn't flat out fall on it's face and come off as creepy." type of thing. Does that make sense?
On top of that, I had a friend that used to be a coworker in a game store, and people would hit on her all the time while she was at work and she got quite annoyed with it (of course, she was in a relationship though, and this was a game store)
Well I mean being a cute girl working at a video game store has to be horrible, since you'll have tons of socially awkward guys just light up and think "SHE'S A NERD! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO CAN RELATE WITH ME! I HAVE A CHANCE!" and then awkwardly try to make something happen and fail miserably into despair and additional awkwardness. So that sort of setting, phew, you have to be pretty suave about it to get through the wall of defenses she probably has lined up in order to stay sane.
That goes for any attractive woman in any setting, though. She's going to be hit on frequently, by normal well-adjusted guys. Being awkward about it or portraying your actions as creepy or anything else is setting yourself up to fail.

lol
I can imagine how that goes down.
*guy walks to the counter with game he wants to buy* *hands it to the girl*
"Do you play games?"
"Yes sometimes!"
"I'd like to play games with you! Haha!"
"I have a boyfriend"
"Oh. Right."
"We have this game second-hand. Would you like that instead? $10 knocked off the price"
"errr... yes." >.>
I got plenty of great stories from this girl. One famous line someone actually used was "You're prettier than all the guys in here."
Lmao.
"Thanks... I guess?"
In all honesty, I'm not into most of the girls in my scene. Many of them are drug addicts, very loose, or just generally brain dead. I guess that's how they see me?
Of course, this mall the store was in was just a nuthouse in itself, so we got all kinds of ridiculous people in there, moreso than the awkward "gamer" trying to hit on her.
I've had it shorter before, but because of fine my hair is you can see my scalp annoyingly. :/After looking at it more, it really does look like the angle. Sorry!
I think you'd definitely benefit with shorter hair, but that's just me.
Thanks for the advice!I have the same problem. I'd love lots of hair.
Nah, I don't think you need to wear a hat, though on a bad-hair-day I treasure my caps, and can't recommend them enough. I just think if you're growing your hair then that's what it looks like. If you're not then you have to decide if you want to look like you're growing your hair, or if you want to get it shaped properly.
lol

A friend of mine had someone add her on PSN with his phone number. He said that she could text him "if she has texting."
It was one of the most hilariously creepy things I've seen...this month.

You don't have to look like you're into the music you're into, or into the scene you're into. I look like a soccer mom, and listen to industrial/metal, play video games, work in the games industry, service my own car, and have a rabbit instead of a kid. It never hurts to surprise people.
I'm talking about what I think of his appearance, without knowing anything about him on a personal level. I've giving my opinion, without reference to any other women, be they in his social circle or you.

RawPower said:So I guess it was just the neckbeard that people found repulsive?
Sadetar said:Yes.

I've never grown my hair out beyond how it currently looks, so I'd at least like to try it once.
Oh and here's how it looks from the front (picture is nearly 2 years old and a bit shorter, but it showcases how it usually looks):

Also maybe it's just my anxiety, but I always worry I'm not good looking enough.![]()
I don't think you're being entirely honest here.

So agreeing that you look REPULSIVE isn't rude.. but agreeing that you look ugly or creepy is?
No, I think he was annoyed that CoolTooLoo didn't sugar-coat her statement in anyway whatsoever. Sometimes it's best to word things in a more sensitive way.
RawPower, I now especially don't appreciate you calling me out for being rude or disrespectful in this thread when people are clearly being completely un-constructive and VERY rude towards you in the Dating Age thread. You're letting people AGREE that the beard is "repulsive" and for some reason THAT doesn't bother you.. but my comments, oh lawd.

Fair point. I shouldn't have called you out like that. I apologize.
Lady-GAF, out of curiosity, how's my hair? I'm tempted to grow it longer.

Also from the picture how old would you say I look? Bear in mind I'm 22.
I'll just put this out there. Is this face creepy or ugly?

Here's one for LadyGAF,
I pretty much never hit on girls since for me personally it feels super creepy. Unless I'm out for drinks, dancing with someone, or actually on a date. Otherwise pretty much nothing. I'll talk and be sociable like a normal person but I don't eye up/make flirty comments out of the blue.
Does this make me appear completely uninterested in girls around me or just polite? I'm hoping the latter.
I suppose that could make me appear to lack confidence as well, although that's not really the case.
Question to LadyGAF in general: Do you find it creepy to be hit on in public by a stranger in general, regardless of how it's executed or physical attractiveness?
Uh-oh
*Ahem*
Anyways, to stay on topic. LadyGAF what is your opinion of guys who don't vary their clothing much? Everyday I pretty much wear a dark colored hoodie, jeans, and a t-shirt with some sort of design or logo on it.
In all honesty, I'm not into most of the girls in my scene. Many of them are drug addicts, very loose, or just generally brain dead. I guess that's how they see me?

On another note, my girlfriend thankfully likes the neckbeard. She actually gets a little upset whenever I have to shave for work.
He chose the not constructive words.. her reply to those words was simply "both." Very similar to the girl implying his beard was REPULSIVE.
Then, she added: "I don't like your style at all. Your hair is way too long for my taste and I'm not really a fan of facial hair."
Those are all statements pertaining to her own taste.. hardly rude or in need of sugar coating. Is she supposed to lie and claim she likes how he looks?
Sorry to defend, just found the people jumping on her more rude than she was being.

I have to admit, this is the first thing I thought of reading that:

can someone define (by providing a picture) of a "bad" neckbeard? I have a beard but I keep it relatively short and it does grow on my neck.
Mine is very similar to this
![]()
and I personally think that looks great (obviously biased opinion) and I think it looks bad when some guys shave down starting at the jaw line. Looks too "douche bag" beard to me
I seriously do want to unsubscribe from this thread.. is that even possible at GAF? Can't find the link..
lol

No that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the input.I would assume any guy who goes out of his way to talk to me would be interested, but maybe that's just me.
Well, if you don't really want to know the answer, don't ask it. However, a lot of people don't answer quite so coldly. People tend to choose their words carefully.
I certainly didn't expect it. I'm not jumping on her btw...
Yeah, I think it was the tone that put me off, initially. It seemed really callous. This may be the internet, but the persona you see here is who I really am. So with that in mind, it felt no different than it would have had she said it to my face.
However, considering the kind of flack I'm getting in the other thread, I shouldn't have jumped on her like that. :/

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of systematic alterations in male facial hair on female perceptions. A within-subjects design employed one condition (facial hair) incorporating five levels (clean-shaven, light stubble, heavy stubble, light beard and full beard). All levels were applied to three different facial designs, constructed using FACES software. The resulting 15 male faces were rated by 60 females on various attributes. Male faces displaying a full beard were considered the most masculine, aggressive, socially mature, and older. Males with a light beard were considered the most dominant. Males with light stubble were considered to be the most attractive, light stubble was also preferred for both short- and long-term relationships.
People mentioning rabbits. May I help?
tbh, I don't find the unshaven, eyes-half-closed, mouth-half-open, shoulders slouched look attractive.Woah, didn't know Shia could look so hot!
Sorry, had to get that out there. As you were.
You've already done more than you can even begin to imagine.People mentioning rabbits. May I help?
