Some people argue that King's Field has been made obsolete by the Dark Souls games, but I disagree. The Dark Souls games are different enough in the way the combat works and how the games navigate the player, that the Souls games can be considered their own thing. Yes, they are, of course, inspired by the King's Field games and there are also some similarities, but they aren't "successors".
I thought you were crazy, but then I remembered I had been waiting for an Armored Core sequel forever and it actually happened. It's possible, just not likely.
Actually, the ultimate power move to pull on a valet is to look them intently in the eyes when you hand over the keys and say "whatever you do, don't look in the trunk." That one gets em every time.

I am happy for you Armored Core guys! You've waited quite a while for AC6. And, if I remember correctly, Miyazaki said something along the lines of being open to the idea of making a King's Field game but only if Naotoshi Zin is on board.
King's field games are really funky. Scratches a dimensional itch of nostalgia and exploration. I liked shadow tower the most. The atmosphere drips through the screen. And screw those fire chariot guys.
The Revenant looks pretty and might use a Harp so I'm curious how that will work as a Summoner class. Although I'm also intrigued if the Class Revenant means our summons will primarily be Revenants or Ashes. If it's the first oh my.
