All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
I've seen "Hawai'ian" and "Polynesian" food places start to pop up in northern California, always run by Asian immigrants. The weirdest thing is, it's basically Chinese food with breaded, fried Pacific ocean fish as the protein. The few that I tried were pretty good though, if you see one stop in.

There's some decent burrito joints around Seattle, but Japanese food is our forté.
Washington in general has pretty good Japanese food. I was up in some little town near Bellingham and went into a sushi place with food on conveyors. I didn't expect much, but it was one of the best meals I've ever had at a restaurant.
