League of Legends Championship Series: Season 4

Oh, I should have clarified, I wouldn't like Nintendude in the LCS because he's an asshole, more so than your average LCS player.

What specifically makes you feel this way? I'm not challenging the assertion, just curious.

And as mentioned, Cris is notoriously toxic.

Disclaimer: This is all from rumors and my own (most likely poor) deduction of the situation.

Apparently NintendudeX and various others in the pro League community were making fun of/harassing/etc. various transgender people. Some information of the situation came out when Kate von Roeder (Damiya), former Riot employee, committed suicide. For the issue, I'll just post the tweets. That'll explain the situation better than I can. A couple were deleted but most are there for you to get the situation.

Nintendude's condolences

Deleted tweet here from YunoMaria mentioning (and I'm paraphrasing here) that it pisses them off when people are mourning for Kate when those same people were never kind (possibly understating) to transgender people in the first place.

Maple decideds to reply to this and mention Nintendude.

Sky's tweet and the following replies are also something to look at.

Have disliked him ever since.

yeah that shit's pretty bad

i wonder how much of this can be attributed to people like nintendude or forgiven or mithy or whatever being underslept and overworked kids in super high pressure situations

i guess at age 18 you're not really a kid but still very young and foolish, generally speaking. you can see how someone like voyboy that was always super motivated and positive ended up not having the means to deal with the pressure (tho voyboy is such a nice guy he never said like a single bad word in all his career)

I want to share what might have been an isolated case, but funny nonetheless.
Today me and my mates had a super weird game where, after the first 2 minutes, both teams started lagging simultaneously. Nobody had high ping or anything, but controlling characters was almost impossible, and minions tended to amass ineffectually in the middle of the lanes. Turrets also refused to attack.
After 22 minutes the enemy team managed to surrender but man, I cannot imagine what happened there.
Video coming soon-ish.

I never knew about this, but I've watched his stream twice (because it was like 3 AM i couldn't fall asleep and just busted out my phone), and both times he was pretty much a huge dick to his team.

Is this an NA team with a decent Rengar? Who could have thought.

Fusion is throwing so hard, and Gleeb does not know how to play Alistar.

Maknoon has been really disappointing after those cheese Poppy games against a lesser team.

Nien and Huhi have looked good.

Impaler is just hard carrying Coast.

Well that was definitely something. Reversal of fortune for Fusion. Wanted to see Maknoon and Nien make it but I'll settle for CA and Coast I suppose.

Watching MakNooN in this series was saddening. He was a god on Rumble in late S2, but he made so many mistakes on him today it was ridiculous (arguably game 3 was Fusion's if he didn't completely whiff his ult when he TP'd in to the bot lane fight which got Coast their first foothold in the match). And when he wasn't on Rumble, well, he looked like he had little idea what he was meant to be doing (more on Maokai than Lissandra, but his Lissandra play was poor too).

Got to hand it to Impaler for turning that series around with his incredibles games 3 and 4. Nien did as good a 1v9 job as I've seen in a long while in games 1 and 2 but it wasn't to be.

Nien was a great ADC pick up for team MRN, then he got the short end of the stick as top for CLG.

I think he would be a great pickup for any team needing a ADC.

Some season 5 info:

  • The Challenger Series (CS) will be changing to a new format that better mirrors the LCS with a six team league with eight weeks of competition (including three weeks of qualifiers).
  • The 3rd and 4th place teams from the Expansion Tournament will secure pre-qualified spots in the 2015 Spring Challenger Series.
  • CS Spring Qualifiers will begin on January 20 and Spring Split kicks off on February 4. The Ranked Teams ladder lock date for Spring Qualifiers will be January 12, 2015 at noon local time (CEST/PST) for EU and NA. The ladder will not reset before this date.

Neat. I'm glad they're expanding the challenger series support. It's invaluable to keep fresh blood in the game.

No one watching CLG getting stomped?

Roccat looks really good to be fair. I hope they can get even better with Nukeduck.

I have to assume DL picked Vayne out of arrogance lol.

Ehh Gambit without Alex, Genja and Darien isn't anywhere as they used to be...
It's good that Cabochard is hard carrying from top lane, but vs clg (if they will win ofc) it will be way more difficult.
Who would've thought year ago that gambit will have problems with NA :/ PJSalt

So either Doublelift is going to win his first tournament or GMB/M5 is going to win an IEM event for the fourth year in a row (and their fifth all time). I'm cheering for GMB.
