League of Legends Championship Series: Season 4

Just skimming the thread it seems there are some really interesting games being played. Jungle Panth? Soraka/Urgot? Galio support? Teemo?

Anyone got recommended games? I'd like to have something running the background while I write.

I'd recommend most games played by Roccat, in EU. They've used some interesting comps (Mordekaiser mid one game, jungle Panth in others), and their games are generally interesting to watch. Their first game was great to watch, and most others are good as well.

it's pretty crazy that pros still build comps without good ranged waveclear. like, eg got like 2 or 3 turrets essentially for free.

I feel sorry for vooby

see, best mid of the week is not bjergsen:

that op thing is hilarious

mid award to chauster. support to lemonnation. meteos kda for some reason not counting the game against tsm in which he played like shit.

pls

Ha-ha, wait, C9 really tried to run Ezreal versus TSM? Fuck guys, you barely got away with that shit against Coast, how did you not learn your lesson?

He's actually eclipsed Nunu as the gold star in the "Pick This Champion to Lose" of professional matches. Teams picking Ezreal are like 2-8 in LCS games this season, just stop picking him. Use Caitlyn if you're scared and need a comfort pick.

"Time for a true display of skill"

Well, Fnatic's "true" double AP (as opposed to AP Mid plus manaless AP Top) composition is sort of... interesting? I'm still not convinced it's a particularly great idea, but it definitely seems that they're taking advantage of the "soft" spots in their schedule as a testbed for new ideas. That's good!

(And it gives Froggen's one remaining fan a ray of hope for Alliance.)

You can't blame that on double AP. They just got straight out outplayed at every turn. Alliance looked so far ahead tactics wise.

What have we learned? Tank meta > all.

And it's stupid.

lol not really

alliance outplayed fnatic through and through

shook made cyanide and peke's lives hell and froggen was pretty beast

gg to alliance, that's it

and yea this is what was expected from fnatic looking so shaky a couple weeks ago

This may be true, but it doesn't help. Other teams and spectators will see this game and enforce the meta. It's like seeing underplayed champions losing games. People see that can go "well, that champion sucks" even if they aren't the reason the team lost.

if soaz was playing shyvanna or mundo or renekton it'd just make trundle stronger. midlane snowballed pretty hard with shook and froggen outplaying peke and cyanide at every turn, so against a fed gragas I dunno how much a tank would've helped.

also I play double ap a lot (it's the only thing I do top, always lissandra, annie or vlad), it's perfectly alright in solo queue and counters a lot of tanks since you rush morellos and dfg and fuck their defensive stats over. I think that in competitive it's perfectly fine, though I'm not too fond of the leblanc top. I think a lissandra or karma could've been better, but then again peke and yellowstar and cyanide played so bad you can't really tell if it would've been any different

Welp, Pantheon's now meta standard, time for all the people who were super hyped to play him a month ago to suddenly decide he's the worst thing ever to happen to the game.

Edit: They really need to get a closer going before Tristana gets that Infinity Edge, or this is going to turn into a slog.

How exactly is Lulu mid supposed to work with her current ratios?

Sort of like Kayle? Strong auto damage lane bully with some burst and lots of peeling potential?

The build doesn't seem right for the situation at all.

It seems a bit too aggressive considering that he got caught/focused down a couple of times, yeah. I suppose he was banking on his ult being enough to save him.

Alex Ich is talking about it right now in the post game interview.

Either way you'll see more lulus in mid now. She was pretty good top/mid on release, but I don't see the pick sticking around too long.

people didn't really play her when she won pro games at mid
people don't really play ori either tho she is useful
unless it's something that can carry or rack up kills it probably won't be that popular at mid

but obv that shouldn't stop you from trying things out

Yep. Ori has been one of the safest and strongest mid picks for 2 years now and people just don't give a fuck.

People will just try Lulu mid for like 2 games, fail miserably and go back to shit like Fizz.

I'm a terrible Oriana player, but I'll roll her out anyway if I'm having to first-pick a mid because even her worst match-ups are still completely survivable, and you can still make a big impact late game even if you're a bit behind.

yeah I definitely meant for me + im always rdy to eat my words
she was definitely popular around worlds when ppl picked her against assassins
