League of Legends Championship Series: Season 4

He has done quite well to survive the lane despite the cs difference to be fair. He's just hoping he can roam and snowball, I guess. It's a ballsy move.

Very ballsy but his team is helping him make plays to get the kills. Well played so far. Meteos not looking as dominant on Lee Sin as on his Elise.

yea coast just isn't good enough

too bad, I felt that way about dignitas last week and was pleasantly surprised, was hoping coast wasn't gonna suddenly throw all they had away. it's not even a throw, just really weak decisionmaking

like seriously, how do you get 3 men stunned by lemonnation leona ult of all people, who's probably the single worst support of na, is beyond me

CLG pulling in all the old relics.

I'm surprised clg is so throwaway about their midlane, I guess it's more important to have a strong jungler (link is probably not amazing but at least has recent competitive experience with the game ingeneral) than a strong midlaner but still... so weird.

It's either that or Hotshot lol

Indeed, I think it could be better to have a weaker top laner rather than a weaker mid laner, but I suppose they can't fill the roles properly for this case.

PLZ Curse. Beat them just like this.

So funny.

I also can't stand Montechristo.

Why Chauster picked Yasuo when Kassadin was up is beyond me ... what a shitty team comp they have for him, Kassadin would have been perfectly fine.

CLG should be embarrassed. One of the worst competitive team comps I have seen in a long time.

I can sort of appreciate this strategy better because it doesn't stem from a stolen blue buff, plus they actually built a composition around it and are playing it well.

like, that curse got this happen to them with a vayne rather than jinx made for a pretty bad game, even if clg played it flawlessly.

I wonder if riot considers these strategies a problem

If they manage to pull the strategy off despite the damage reduction on the top tower, then they deserve it. It is significantly easier to take the tower bot lane.

edit: And now they get a successful Yasuo ult. Yasuo is going to dominate if CLG manages to reach late game, and dominate better than if they had Kassadin.

I still can't believe that even after bribing immigration officials to block Dexter's visa*, Curse still isn't able to make any use of it.

*This is a categorically false statement, but Curse is doing a shit-show job of being NA's big villain, so I've got to do my part to keep their star rising. It wouldn't be so bad if EG could at least get into a state where everyone could be mad about them gall-durn yur-a-peens takin our jerbs.

voyboy zhonya'd both times as the janna ult was going off, leaving him in the middle of the enemy team while his own team retreated and getting himself killed twice. both teamfights might've been completely different if he wasn't instagibbed because of that

clg just kept their cool and curse fell twice for the same thing.

man all the smug teams winning today lol

You expect to be down 5k early against fast push. It is all about playing the flanks in the mid game to come back. #LCS

I can't stand Monte.

I also can tweet about something that happened after it happened as if it was perfectly planned and implemented.

well to be fair clg read curse really well and beat them exactly like that

I think it was in big part of curse messing up but clg didn't allow themselves to be in the same position as curse did when they were on the receiving end of the fast push. like, curse couldn't find an engage if their lives depended on it, but clg found them.

too bad because clearly curse had a strategy and they just fucked it up

Wow didn't expect it with all the line-up problems CLG has been having with their mid, but congrats to them for winning (I realize I am a little behind here).

Monte's right that you expect to go down on gold early against a fast push, but:

1. Not 5k. That's the, "You've done jack-shit to actually fight back against the fast push" level of differential. 3k is about as far as you ever want to let it build. The fast push causes the team doing it to go down quite a bit on farm, so they should not actually have a gold difference equal to the value of towers lost if you're defending properly.

2. They actually were down closer to 7k by the time the fast push stalled out, which is way, way more than you ever intentionally give up. To say nothing for giving up an inhibitor turret.

yea also true

tbh the comp and execution was pretty good from curse, they just fucked it up and yasuo too stronk

Yeah, I honestly think they played the composition perfectly, it's just that what they got out of it is basically as much as it can ever do.

Nunu just blows super hard once the push stalls, and Yasuo is somewhat similar to Kassadin in that it's completely fine for him to play from behind as long as he gets to late game sooner or later. I'm really not sure a team running Nunu can actually beat a team running Yasuo without some sort of gigantic throw at 30+ minutes in.

I suppose it might have worked out for them if CLG was running a mid who relies on actually being ahead (Leblanc, Zed, etc.), but it's a mistake thinking Yasuo has to be fed to be a threat. At Lv16+ with three items complete he becomes a threat regardless of how far behind he is.

its not that kind of relationship

i kinda liked watching that game even tho there were many misplays, rather have my heart jump at missed tibz than watch tsm roll over someone
game was a healthy mix of insane decisions and good theoretical ideas

NA lcs is so sad this season. A bunch of teams that used to be closer competition are now just close because its Game of Throws, the game. I've been a TSM fan since early season 2 but watching them put all these other teams in the trash can just isn't fun anymore. The fact that teams like EG and Coast got back into lcs after being relegated isn't surprising when top 4 teams from last split other than TSM and C9 are all playing like Velocity.. At least velocity played goofy champs and cheesy strats..

yeah tsm this season hasn't been as fun to watch since bjergsen joined, im rdy for gamecribs to bring them back into favor tho
but there's been plenty of new champs i think, a lot better than how worlds was
ali and karthus in the upcoming game
