The more we see it as such, wouldn't it also mean that more the reason, they may have sold it already, the the whole or future Avatar franchises?

When we think about it, would Nick venture into Avatar series again, in the near future, or would they rather sell it off?

And if so, how much do you, guys and gals, think it would fetch fore? I just find it odd that they would try drag the whole franchise into the mud like this, deliberately not even trying to give it more value, unless it's already done.

lol I think fans should just give up on Nick selling it (at least in the short term). It could happen I guess later down the line. But Nick still has a history of sitting on IPs that they no longer use. I would not put it past them to hold on to it, so they can reboot the series later down the line. Even if the reboot ends up being like teen titans (a series aimed at their new demographic).

I do think, Avatar has a better chance of being sold SINCE it's such a massive IP outside of Nick (it has a lot of fans around the world), so I can see why fans think it's a high possibility. But eh. The creators probably won't want to work on anything Avatar related for the next 10 years. And chances are, they will have a new series created in the next 5, which will take up a lot of their time.

I'm just not seeing it. I want to believe. Even if Netflix or Amazon, or some other new company offers to buy it, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make the offer unless the creators were on board. Well, maybe not. Maybe they just want the IP regardless. I dunno. The real question is, do you guys want Avatar to be sold, and to have new shows made on another channel without the creators?

i wonder what timezone they were referring to, when announcing about an upcoming trailer for "today".

Time is an illusion, and so is cancellation.

EDIT: If the bet thing is ongoing put me down for Opal not being evil. If she is I'll change my avatar to a picture of her committing an act of evil or something for a month.

And the Fire Nation also please.
Come on Nick release the trailer already.

I want to see the Fire Nation more than Toph. But I still think Toph has the most potential out of any cameo. Just because her family stuff is such a big part of the Korra story. AND there would actually be payoff reason to have her there.

I still hate Toph tho for being a shitty ass parent.

I still can't get over the criticism levied at Toph's parenting in a show universe with Fire Lord Ozai in it

Just because someone is a more shitty parent, doesn't make a shitty parent not shitty. lol

But of course, no one is suggesting she's worse than Ozai. Plus, I suppose it sucks when a character you like ends up being a shitty person.

I actually like how they handled Toph. Not everyone is perfect, and I think her mishaps make for a very interesting story.

I'm not saying I'm against the plot. You are right, not everything in life is perfect. I actually think Toph being a shit parent is very in line with the Toph we knew as a kid. I wasn't a big fan of how they resolved the plot with Lin though. As I've said, it rubbed me the wrong way. Just me though.

But the plot itself was fine. But it did make me lose some respect for Toph.

Yeah I don't get how stabbing Lin 100 times made her get over it but I'll remember that method for next time someone disagrees with me.

I love how, 20 years of bitter hatred and resentment is solved by fighting someone with your fists. They took a pretty serious plot and dumbed it down. Nostalgia Critic brought up a good point about the Katara episode where she sought Revenge from the man that killed her mom. In the end she doesn't kill him, but she also refuses to forgive him. It's a pretty powerful scene, and very unusual for a kids show (even adult shows don't do this often). Fact is, you can move on and get over something and not let it control your life anymore. But not everyone deserves forgiveness.

To take an extreme reverse of that with Lin's story (which was supposedly extremely painful and dominated most of her life), and have Lin just easily forgive her mom + Su for all they did, just felt very cheap and BS to me. I would have liked them to flesh it out a bit more (that she was willing to let go of the past, and move on, but that forgiving Su and her family would take some time). I don't think they really sold that. And I also hated how the show leaned on Lin should forgive Su. Su might be a different person now, but she never was truly sorry for what she did. Bleh.

I'm just biased in this. In that, I don't believe people always deserve forgiveness. I really reject that notion. I do not think it's good to hold on to something, and let it eat you up and dominate your life (Lin was wrong for doing this). But she had every right to not have a relationship with Su, and to still not forgive her when she wasn't even really sorry for what she did. So I loved the overall plot, no issue with it. But I personally was not a fan of the resolution.

I would be delighted. <3
If you start writing tomorrow, you'll maybe be finished before the trailer.

The woman sat at the table, her features illuminated by the soft light of the candle in front of her.

She was young, maybe in her teens, with green eyes and short dark hair. All things considered, she looked as though she was a kind person. But her expression told a different story. Her features twisted in anger and disgust, she stared unflinching at the small, flickering flame.

Next to the candle rest a clipping from a recent news article. The woman in the picture, dark skinned with pigtails, stood triumphantly in front of a cheering crowd. The caption screamed "AVATAR INJURED IN FEARSOME BATTLE AGAINST RED LOTUS LEADER".

The girl at the table scoffed as she reread the title for what was probably the millionth time. Zaheer had failed her. The article should be talking about the Avatar's death, not her hard earned victory.

The woman picked up the clipping and held it to the flame. As the paper burned, the woman smiled. Zaheer had failed, but she would make things right again.

To be continued. Or something.

Azula was the baddest bitch.

I rewatched book 2 about a month ago and I had forgotten that scene where she threatened the ship captain who said they couldn't pull ashore due to dangerous rocks.

Shame how she went out but she was consistently great for two seasons.

Day 32

Still no trailer. I remain stranded in the purgatory that is the pre-season, and have been forced to comb through the dredges of Tumblr to obtain any new information whatsoever.

Is there any hope left? I'm not so sure anymore.

If I don't make it, I want the fandom to know that I was loyal to the end.

P.S. Opal is totally evil

If Opal is evil, Bolin will commit suicide. Do we want Bolin to commit suicide.

I keep refreshing Bryan's tumblr page and just keep seeing the cast's mugs and now I think they're stupid...

GOSH XD
