Remember why I don't play Platinum games, having a hard as hell time even just fighting the third level (fighting the 3 guys at once). Just not good at action games. :(

EDIT: Finished it lol.

All right. So after my Legend of Korra tv series binge I bought this game and I'm kind of enjoying it. I like Platinum games in general but uhh... Outside of combat and being a Korra fan this game is kind of... Shit?

It feels so completely barebones. The shop is odd. Korra's room is a single screen. I'm on chapter 6 or something and I've yet to see anyone other than bubble Jinora and Naga with the exception of the pro bending at the beginning.

Korra just yells at clouds and then proceeds to destroy the same few enemies repeated in little arenas/areas. The blocked off paths seem pointless as many of the times you obtain the power to break through it just before.

I am just... Kind of disappointed. I wasn't expecting much but I was expecting a little bit more than this I guess.

On the combat. It is fun once you get used to it. Unlocking all 4 elements makes it much better. Airbending is kind of broken. Once unlocked the difficulty drops right off. Countering, once you get that down is pretty much your bread and butter for tough fights until then.

I get the distinct impression it was just a cash grab by Nick before the series ended. It's a shame, I'd love to see what Platinum could do with with the Korra license a budget comparable to Bayonetta 2 or MGR

You expected too much from a DLC priced game.

This final Ace pro bending match will be the death of me. -_- Every other Ace match was pretty easy. Even the fourth one I ended up winning by knockout after winning the first round by knocking out one member of the opposing team. But by the death of me I can't seem to be able to hold up playing the final match well enough that I'd win more than one round. A couple of times I've won one face-off and a few times I've won by having one more team member alive, but then it goes to hell fast in the second round. If only I could tie the second round but something always goes wrong (I lose a team member or have flown off the arena myself a couple of times).

And I don't want to quit because that would mean I'd have to go through the four previous matches again. Not sure if I'm up for the challenge, or that I'd be as successful as I was the first time around.

EDIT: OMG WOOT I DID EEEEEEEEEEEET WUUUUUUUU YEEEEEEEAH SUCK IT BITCHAZZZZ

So the game is on sale this week, I'd like to get some insight from people who've played it. I've looked into reviews and it comes across as average, is that the case?

if you liked the series and are not someone that limits themselves to only the top AAA games you will probably like this a lot; I know I did. It is very solid for what it is: a B tier game.just dont expect too much and dont compare it to big games

I never watched the series but I enjoy P* action games. Apparently the plot is really weak so that's ok for me since I don't follow it anyway?

It's a simple plot that basically stands on its own but I guess you'd have to consider if you'd find the setting/characters too childish. Also it's more basic and less over the top than their other games but still really solid.

I don't mind the setting, my range of games is really broad and I can enjoy them for what they are. I think I'll get it for that price, thanks.

Well, I just did every trophy other than Jill of All Trades and I swear it's glitched for me... I'll have to upload the current save to the cloud and get to chapter 8 on a new save file, eugh.
