I'm far from sold on the actual gameplay, but the writing is absolutely top notch. Really impressed by the effort the team has put into this.

Steam seems faster but I'm not sure since you can't see the speed on the Wii U. I rarely have to download games of this size on Steam.
It may not be much to some, but the Digital Deluxe program is a nice initiative. I got $15 off thanks to this, and buying this game gives me another $5 code.

Why in the world is this more expensive on the eshop? Makes no sense.
It'll take years before we can truly see what the Wii U is capable of. Look at the first year of the 360 and PS3 (or any console before that actually) to demonstrate this. Moving away from dodgy ports is a step in the right direction for now.

Oh man, I just realized that GameStop never texted me yesterday with their standard "Come in tomorrow to pick up your game!" message. Does that mean that they won't be getting it in today? Nintendo really knows how to screw up a game launch...

After watching that walkthrough I will go ahead and say its the funniest game ever made lol.
Just watched the Gametrailers review and... That open world was pretty limited. You can't land a heli on any building you so please, what's up with that? And no multiplayer!? My thought, at first, when i heard about this game was that you and a buddy would play either couch co-op or online and build stuff together and then try 'em out.
But... Nope.

Are you uninterested because it doesn't match some preconceived expectations you had, or because it isn't a good game, in your opinion?
You should be glad, I spend 42 hours to DL it this week end, yours seems to be quite "fast" (everything is relative, right?)! Unfortunately it ended this morning so I won't be able to try it until tonight u_u...

there is some truth to that, but you really have to get them to admit that the game should have never been priced at $60 when the retail price was $50 - and then for them to correct the eShop price. they have to be able to answer why the DD price is more expensive... of course, i guess, they can always say, "that's the price." ~_~

I uh... suspect I won't be waiting for day 1 digital downloads ever. I'd planned to go physical-only anyway but snafus like this only further encourage me.
Well I guess look at it this way. Even though its not right. $5 coupon for buying it on eshop makes price $55 then if you bought in store for $50 with tax is close to $55. Thought I would rather have it for 49.99 and have $10.01 back in my Eshop account. Emailed Nintendo earlier. Will post the response when I get it. We should post to their fb page as well
Technically you agreed to the price, multiple times before you were eventually locked in at the price. Sucks and I agree it's wrong but honestly they fooled ya. Tax woulda been $3 locally if you deluxe you get $6 back... How valuable is your time? Send a few emails and move on is what i'd do.

This is what I wanted to ask, was there mentioned that it will be 49,99 ? Because is not the first game to be found cheaper in retail than in the e-shop. Sonic All Star Racing Transformed is an example of that.

right. they can do that, but i don't think there is any precedent to price the digital version higher than the retail msrp. so it's really an issue of consumer expectation and fair business practices. it's their choice... we'll see how it plays out.
