Any link for that Soma confirmation?

They basically make a list of features like the languages included, and one of them was no VR at Launch

Snow (snowboarding/skiing game)

Since Poppermost already added support for the Oculus Rift on PC, we asked about PlayStationVR on PS4.

Do you plan to add PSVR support at some point?

For sure! We’ve been working a lot with various VR devices and have some initial implementation already live in the Closed Beta.

The Telltale Project

The Telltale Project is being developed by Winking Entertainment using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 middleware. A brief trailer can be seen below, though it offers little in the way of gameplay details. That said, it does reveal a sci-fi story and sets a tone of discovery as humans set out to travel Mars for the first time. There, it appears a team of explorers uncovers the remains of an ancient civilisation that thrived on the planet. The end of the footage seems to suggest that the team will make a surprising discovery during the course of the journey.

Dat voicework. :D But hey, at least those Chinese devs are trying. :)

iWaggle3D tweeted this new RIGS video I haven't seen anywhere else before: https://youtu.be/ESDODNqExOA
It's basically a game-mode tutorial. Looks fun. And sounds like Guerrilla has implemented an alternative to that Killzone 'chirp' kill sound-fx.

The Mars 2030

NASA has teamed up with Fusion Media, MIT’s Space Systems Laboratory, and game developers from former studio Irrational Games to develop The Mars 2030 Experience for Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard, and Samsung Gear VR in 2016. The free cross-platform virtual reality experience will also expand to Sony PlayStation VR and HTC Vive, thanks to Unreal Engine 4.

And Final Approach confirmed for PS VR too

Final Approach had only been confirmed for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with Oculus Touch support up until now, but the developer confirmed to VRFocus that the title will support Sony Computer Entertainments (SCEs) PlayStation VR headset.

Huh, you can really see the difference in motion fidelity between this and the vive controllers on that first game.
Funny because PS3 games have better Move tracking than that Wayward Sky demo, with the inferior PS Eye camera.

Hey guys, long time no see. Funny to see my thread bumped up without me updating it, as you can see I've been limited to the internet these months and only have my mobile to work with. If any of you guys would like to add the format I made to the new games that have been announced, I'll gladly add it(copy/paste it) to the OP. Would make it easier on my mobile. Cheers!

I've been following PSVR with casual interest. My question to anyone is what era in gaming will this be akin to? Are we going to see a hard dry spell period like we did during the industries transition to 3D back in 1995, or will it be a relatively smooth one like the PS2, in which triple A titles began to hit the shelves by late 2001?

I find the release date for PSVR interesting because it's coming along midway during this current generation's run. Playstation 1 came along just as the 16 bit consoles were on its lasts legs. Is this gonna put a damper on contemporary games of today the way that 3D has done with sprite based games?

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. After an age of samey-same 2D sprite based side scrollers, 3D opened up gaming to literally a new dimension. Of course, the early days were rough and didn't age well in the long run, but it started a new age.

VR is *hoping* to achieve something as meaningful as that.

Yeah, that's the point of what I'm saying. The early days of 3D were rough, with a considerable dryspell period before things began to take off. There's really only a tiny handful of games during the 32 bit era that has managed to age well.

I'm wondering what effect virtual reality is going to have on this current generation of games going forward, as we're still in the midst of current-gen consoles. All these start up game coming out for the PSVR don't look to hold a candle to games like The Last of Us or Gears of War 2. Some even resemble some of the shovelware for the Wii -- games that involve simple flight simulations, or climbing mountains.

What I'm eager to know is if this technology will be robust enough long term to spawn it's own franchises or lasso along currently established ones.

There are simple experiments coming up, as well as short extra VR modes on certain AAA titles that probably won't have any lasting value. But then there are titles like e.g. Eve Valkyrie or Battlezone, that are outright fun (as reported numerous times). I don't think they bring the same grade of roughness that the technical burden of going 3D had back then. Surely graphics and gameplay will continue to improve in VR, but you won't look back at these titles and can't stand to play them anymore, I am pretty sure.

Maybe, hopefully, with future generations of PSVR and the PlayStation itself you can run the same games in higher resolution - PS4K hints in that direction a bit. On PC that shouldn't be a problem.

Hey guys!, I'm back.

I'm here to stay now that I got back from my trip and have full internet access again. Just wanted to say I updated the thread again with the entire games that I've seen announced for PSVR (88 games already..). So if I missed any let me know. I'm going to keep updating this list till PSVR Release.

So if I missed any let me know.

Thanks for doing the thankless job, man!

It's not a major issue, just that War Thunder is constantly-evolving F2P game, so the two-year old trailer doesn't really explain anything to people, imho. Consider using this VR gameplay video. It's done with oculus, but we can assume that it would be similar for PSVR in the sense of gameplay.

Driveclub VR popped up in some country's rating board. I think that's confirmation as any that's no longer any sort of demo.

Yeah, I saw that but we still don't have official confirmation on it so I can't move it or it would be misleading, it does say possible full game though in the category :p

Ok I'll edit it later ;)

Since GT Sport is launching mid November, are all the launch titles in the list releasing alongside PS VR or are some of them during the launch window like GTS.

Launch Window, I should clarify that since there will be 50 titles on PSVR launch window, thanks for mentioning that.

I assume some can be launch window. At Gdc Sony said at least 50 games will be available by the end of the year.

Wondering how many of these games will actually be worth the time. I hope E3 can convince me to keep my PSVR pre-order with some meaty games.

I can already see some couple of games that would be worth it, full games like RIGS, EVE: Valkyrie & Gunjack, SUPERHYPERCUBE, Rez Infinite, Wayward Sky... maybe even PSVR Worlds and Battlezone. Those are my favorites for now.

Full TWIT.TV PSVR episode with Dr. Richard Marks

That was great, loved seeing his reactions and them looking at the headset.

Cool seeing it from Leo too, I remember watching his stuff all the time especially when he was on TV.

It was also really cool how he showed the balance and how relatively light it seems to be, also that bit where Leo just lifts it up when he's done playing up to his forehead and then just effortlessly sits there like that for a few moments, he didn't even need to lift up the front visor to get it off and still be atleast "semi comfortable."

Oh yeah, LOL, Leo wants No Man's Sky in VR too ;)

Project Cars PSVR support not planned for launch. My guess is it's been canned completely and maybe they'll implement it for the sequel.

Nah, it'll come out with the Wii U version...

*cough*

Seriously though, I could see it being a bitch to bolt in considering it didn't perform amazingly on the PS4 without VR. Driveclub VR may as well be a different game and GT Sport was developed with it in mind.
