Fruit Ninja VR will be coming to PSVR this year.

Edit:
here you can see some gameplay of Scavengers Odyssey and Danger Ball (included in the VR Worlds)

I think there's no other gameplay of this games other than the VR Worlds trailer.

The presentation quality of the video was top notch, good BBC.

I'm not expecting good things from RE7 it wasn't made from the ground up for VR in mind so I expect it's half ass done and seems like people that did play it for long periods made them feel really sick. Shame too since that would have helped make a choice about getting the PSVR.
Source?

Also some people are always going to get a little motion sick from games with full movement control in VR. Just like some people get sick from reading in a car or from being in an airplane when it gets rough. I've been playing gear VR games with full analog controls for half a year and they don't bother me at all, I doubt RE7 will either.

There is definitely a certain threshold for every person. People that play lots of first person games might be more likely to get adjusted faster.

Here is the list of launch games I am getting:

...
Final Fantasy XV VR (I will already have this game by the time PSVR is already out, I just want to try the mode out)
...
Playroom VR (I believe it is a free update)
...
Star Wars X-Wing VR (Free update)
...

Playroom VR is a free download but I honestly don't think Battlefront VR and FFXV will be free. Or has this been confirmed somewhere?

Battlefront VR is free for Battlefront owners.

FF who knows, on the post-show back at E3 they said they didn't even know if they were going to actually do anything for VR or if so what it would be (the thing on stage was a tech demo), and that it could be free or paid, or an update, or DLC or a separate game. It sounds like they have no idea yet.

they should sell x-wing vr mission also as a standalone mission...

I own the game on XBO... and I don't think the game is worth only for the VR mission even if it's 30€ right now the ps4 version of the game in the Eu store...
If is good enough I may buy a primary account instead... if they don't give the the chance to buy a standalone VR version

Well I suddenly don't regret getting Battlefront that much any more (got it a while ago when it was on sale).

I have a question regarding the VR.
I'm quite sensible to motion sickness, if I play more than an hour with a VR headset will I throw my guts out ?
I never tried it but I'd love to, but even then I guess I'll only be able to try it out like 5 min or so.

On June 24th there will be over 300 bestbuy's and gamestop's with PSVR demo stations, go try the 10min demos and see if your body can stand it.

I have another thread where you can find if there is a store near you.

Pretty stoked that Rez will be a launch title. The demo I tried at PSX was awesome. Everyone came away from that sold. Having discussions with people in line about their experiences with PSVR was great. You rarely get to talk to total strangers about it.

I know right, I have been seeing youtube videos of people trying out PSVR at Best Buy and seeing them talk about VR and getting excited really is wonderful.

Has anyone tried psvr and gear vr? What can I expect coming from gear vr?

A major improvement and more big games on PSVR.

Gear VR and Google Cardboard are basic VR headset and rely too much on the mobile market shovelware, really hard to find good games on them. Also PSVR has less screen-door effect than most VR Headset based on reviews.

Just noticed on the PS EU store, that there is Pre-Orders for Hustle Kings VR and Super Stardust Ultra VR. Seems they are add ons to the original games.

Had no idea Super Stardust was getting VR :D

This is basically a Rez VR machine for me, everything else will just be a bonus. Not all that different from my PS2, really.

I'm still curious as to which is the better setup if you own the Gold headset:

Wireless dongle?
or
Wired directly to the PSVR?

The PSVR is supposed to have special 3D simulated surround sound, but the Gold headset sounds weak when it's powered off.

Thoughts?

I don't know how the Gold headset works... but if you want 3D stereoscopic sound you need to connect them to the headset. 3D sound is one of the most inmersive things about VR. being able to detect the exact location of a sound in a VR.

Any headset will work with PSVR so if the Gold headset sound is weak when powered off you may consider use any other headset with the PSVR to have 3D sound.

The PSVR breakout box actually handles the 3D audio so I think wired to the headset is a must (unless the breakbout box also transfers it down the wire for PS4 to transmit?).

You will be able to buy Super Stardust VR as a new title, or pay for a VR upgrade if you have the original.

You will be able to play the standard game in VR, as well as a whole new first person perspective mode.

Okay thanks! In that case I'll just have to try different headsets and earphones with the PSVR to see which sounds best. If the 3D sound is that important I'd rather not sacrifice it for wireless convenience.

Sorry if it's posted already but a number of PSVR games are on the PlayStation store now (EU). Interesting to see the prices:

Hustle Kings VR £15.99
PlayStation VR Worlds £34.99
Tumble VR £7.99
RIGS £54.99
Super Stardust £15.99
Until Dawn VR £15.99

I hope you can play tumble VR with the Move controller. I've only seen it demonstrated with the dual Shock.

Ironically, Tumble is the game that "sold" me on the Move on PS3.

So, just to get this straight. I need to buy this:
separately regardless

And two of these:
if I want motion controlls right? (I know the ps4 pad is tracked)

I'm pretty sure I have it right but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I mean, I thought the playstation eye and the playstation camera were the same thing untill a little while ago..

If wanna add prices to the op also in €
Hustle Kings VR £15.99/19,99€
PlayStation VR Worlds £34.99/39,99€
Tumble VR £7.99/9,99€
RIGS £54.99/59,99€
Super Stardust £15.99/19,99€
Until Dawn VR £15.99/19,99€

If anyone have the Hustle Kings mega pack (9,99€) and the Startdust Ultra (12,99€) would be interesting to know how expensive are the VR DLCs

Fantastic! I had heard nothing about this. Is it a straight remake of the PS3 game?

I know this is all speculation at this point, but I'm curious as to how PSVR will handle higher end headsets for audio. I've already got a wireless SteelSeries headset that does surround sound when its piped through an optical cable. I'm hoping I'll still be able to take advantage of that and benefit from 3D audio without having to wire it back in.

I might stick with the bundled headset to start with, to see if I think an upgrade is needed.

As far as I know the 3d audio from the breakout box makes its way to the headset over HDMI. There is then a standard 3.5mm stereo plus mic socket on the headset into which you plug any standard (not Apple!) headphones.

I was thinking of getting some Phillips X2 Fidelio headphones, and a separate mic, but my day 1 game list is starting to look very expensive, and I'll be tempted by a Neo if they release this year...

It's speculation on my part, but I think there are two sets of audio involved:

If you get your audio out to the TV/amp via HDMI, then you'll be getting the social screen audio: for surround sound it'll be from the perspective of whatever's on the TV. For games like Playroom that could be a different audio stream to what goes to the headset.

I think the same has to apply to the audio which comes direct from the PS4 optical output; it'll have to be the social screen feed.

The 3d binaural feed is only going to be available from the 3.5mm jack on the headset.

I think you'll be OK to use the optical feed into your existing headset for any game which renders the same feed on the TV as on the headset, but if I was faced with the choice I would go with the binaural feed, rather than surround sound.

Super Stardust Ultra (PS4) added quite a bit to the original Super Stardust HD (PS3) if I remember correctly. It looks fantastic on a 3DTV so the VR modes should be mind blowing.

I can't find any trailers for it, I see its release date is down for the 13th, so I'll add it to the list. Trying to figure out what to get and what to wait for. Right now RIGS is dropping down the must-have list, mainly due to price. Eve, Rez and Battlezone are pretty much certain.

There are old trailers around for Super Stardust Ultra, (obviously) but I haven't seen any for the VR version yet.

PlayStation VR Worlds is the first title I want. It looks to be a great showcase for the format and will be a hoot with family and friends. (Sending my Mother down in a shark cage will be hilarious.)

I'm holding off on committing to other games just yet. Looking through my current library, Playroom VR will be free, Futuridium is getting a free update, Battlefront X-Wing is a free addition, FTP game War Thunder should have support day 1 and Super Stardust VR is just an £8 upgrade. Add that to the demo disc we're getting and that's a fair amount of stuff to play with for little additional spend.

After that, it's a case of choosing between RIGS, Battlezone, EVE, Robinson, Rez, Until Dawn..... If VR fails, it won't be through lack of software.

Exactly, that's my same plan too, so many freebies and yet so many good VR games I want to buy.

Starting to figure out my purchases VR and non VR for the fall.

I'm getting the $500 bundle so I'll have some tech demoes with the VR Worlds disc. Think I'll add onto that RIGS, GT Sport, and Rez as those seem like the three most impressive and complete games we've seen thus far. I've heard Volume is good but I want to see how VR works in that first.

Good to hear Battlefront VR will be a free add on. That will probably be the easiest way to get my dad to try it out. He's pretty pop culture ambivalent with the exception of Star Wars.

I just realized the bulk of the launch titles for PSVR will be digital only and not $60, which is good because the games will be less expensive. Rigs will be $60. I wonder if that game will be retail too.
