Cheers, I might just sync it up and leave them on - see how many cycles they work for...tho the nav will be harder to test, might just have to play that by ear...I just didn't want to pick up the PSVR and have 2 dead moves :)
Forget the nav. Not supported so far for PSVR.

About the moves, just tested mine, they lasted for about 12 hours on standby. Good enough. Having to press a button every 1 hour was a bitch though, but they would turn off otherwise, I wish we could set a "never turn controllers off" on PS4.

Any confirmation yet on VR games that either require or make use of two Move controllers rather than one? I'm debating whether to nab another one, even though I still have my PS3 Move controller handy.

And is the nunchuck never going to be used in any VR game?

- London Heist may require 2. Along with all of the VR Worlds collection, possibly.

- The Wii is too weak for VR.

Are there any games that only use one? All the marketing I've seen has featured two wands.

It might be that Tumble VR works with just one, but most games will require two if you go Move. And even with Tumble two will be better, as you can play couch co-op.

Robinson: The Journey is not gonna support PS Move (at least not from day 1), because they think Move Controllers aren't in enough PS4 homes, while DS4 obviously is.

Don't know if that's new, but I thought Move support was a no-brainer, the protagonist actually carries one ingame...I'll wait for the patch then.
That is a complete BS reason. Moves will be in the hands of everyone who owns a PSVR.
Edit: Never mind. Thought the $399 bundle came with moves just not a camera. Still ridiculous though.

Yeah. I see no point in getting this game without Move support. Definitely not the kind of game that will feel immersive walking around with a controller.

I'm so glad there is going to be a RIGS demo because I'm completely on the fence. At launch, I really don't think I need Battlezone and RIGS (I think they both scratch a similar itch) and I know I enjoyed the Battlezone demo but I really want to see what RIGS is like. It just seems like it might be a little boring based on the footage but I suspect it's a lot more intense and fun than you can pick up from 2D videos.

Huh? RIGS being like Battlezone is like saying Portal is like Alien Isolation. Just because they share the same perspective doesn't make them similar. RIGS basically is a sports game with shooting, that doesn't change in single player mode, where you just compete against bots. Battlezone is a shooter with waves of diverse enemies.

I played Robinson with a DS4 on Thursday, and while I thought it was great, it definitely felt weird controlling it like that - the in-game pointer device was hovering just to your right no matter where you were looking, and climbing by just looking at pressing a button wasn't super-intuitive. Bizarre that they're not supporting Move at launch.

I dislike this mentality. In order to encourage people to purchase Move controllers you need to provide the experiences, not the other way round.

Decision is made more baffling when there is a Move on screen.

Fair enough, and for what it's worth, I would have preferred move support myself.

Based on various reports it plays well with the DS4 so I've no problem with using that. But, if they said "our game doesn't suit Move controls " then fine. What they effectively said though was "we aren't supporting Move until more people own it".

How do you get more people to buy it without providing a reason to?

They want other developers to provide that reason for them which to me is just backwards for a company, an engine developer no less, wanting to be at the forefront of an emerging technology. And you can be sure they do or they wouldn't be developing Robinson in the first place. It's an advert for CryEngine in VR as much as anything else.

So would you say it's worth it to jump in right away or wait for move support? Like how much were you telling yourself you wished you could control that pointer device/have your hands in the game?

What are the modes? Thanks.

There was a mode where you had to score touchdowns and they talked about a team Deathmatch mode as well. It looks like the career has you varying between the match types. They showed lots of single player stuff ranging from sponsors and customisation as well as different types of rigs and pilots.

Day one for sure

I have played RIGS and Battlezone and will be purchasing both on Day 1. They both feel very different. Battlezone looks like the most in-depth game with a large dynamically generated campaign as well as up to 4 player co-op support. It is the #1 game for me for PSVR.

RIGS is multiplayer game that feels very refined, fast and fun in short bursts. Not sure if it will sustain itself over the long run (I vastly prefer single-player experiences), but I am willing to experiment more as PSVR is a brand new platform and experience.

I've been torn between the 2 games but rigs looks to have a decent career mode. Gonna try the demo of battlezone and probably end up buying that as well. What swayed me to rigs was the fear that battlezone looked a bit samey but graphically it looks so cool

Interesting that you think of Battlezone as being "samey" while preferring a sports game with basically only one type of "enemy". Good that there is choice for every taste. :D

Why reset, why not just sync (PlayStation button)?

As for the battery life, you hardly can, because there are almost no PS4 games supporting Move. And the few that are there may not be what you'd like to do for a few hours just to test how the charge is holding up.

Grab a friend, 4 Move controllers, and download Octodad.

You're welcome

The X wing mission is free for owner of battlefront right? Is it worth buying the game for 15 just to get the mission?
Hard to say, we don't know much about it yet including how long it would be.

No thanks, I'm fine, got plenty of PS3 Move games. I meant that part as advice for the other guy seemingly without PS3 currently.

Didn't like Octodad, found no joy in combating purposefully bad controls.

What does everyone think about Until Dawn VR? How long is the game going to be? The pricing on VR games are making me question if some of these games are worth it.

I was looking at Batman VR, Unitl Dawn: BR, and Rigs. I preordered the launch bundle, so I will have Worlds and the demo disc.

That's why I'm torn lol. I think they both risk being samey and im generally a single player guy. Just think that the career may be more fleshed out than battlezone campaign. I've never tried psvr though so will prob end up playing the battlezone demo and buying anyway :)

I still have no idea what to think. Still don't get why the Until Dawn name is attached based on what I've seen. If there is story and it's connected to the game then count me in!!

If it's a cash grab off the name...booooooo.

Apparently there are homages to the original game, but I think that's the extent of it.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the pricing, at least here in the UK.

RIGS is AAA, has single player and online multiplayer, available on physical for £35

Batman VR is only a couple of hours long, but for £16 it is no more expensive than buying a Blu-ray movie

Until Dawn is available for £14 physical. About 20 years ago I was paying £40 for games like House Of The Dead, Virtua Cop and Time Crisis. Very reasonable by comparison.

I'm not too concerned about the amount of content in a title as long as the price reflects it appropriately.

I'm curious to see the sales bump with Resident Evil 7. I'm almost curious if they'll try and do some sort of bundle or promotion for it. Seems to easily be the biggest title coming out for it. Even if it's missing this holiday.

My very biased opinion is that it's worth every penny to experience what it's like to sit in an X-Wing and fly past a star Destroyer while blasting at Tie Fighters... I have never even dreamt I would be able to experience something like that in my lifetime to be honest. I'm pretty sure Battlefront is about £12 pre-owned in the UK. No brainer if you're a Star Wars fan, even if the mission only lasts 15 minutes, I'd be very happy with that.

If you like sports games and / or MP shooter games like Quake 3 Arena with bots. Then it might just be, but I find those utterly boring in SP and even online MP doesn't hold my interest for long if it's competitive.

I prefer co-op games with many different AI controlled enemies, like e.g. Battlezone... ;)

I'm starting to think even with the large amount of games I'm already likely getting that I'm going to have to also add SuperHyperCube to my early buys, it seems like such a perfect game to ease into VR with.

I'm looking at thinking about this as well, it's kind of hard to pass up the dream of a VR X-Wing thing like DavidDesu said. It and a lightsaber one are like the two Star Wars VR dreams.

Apparently there are homages to the original game, but I think that's the extent of it.

The one newer video I'd seen made it look a little like what I'd expect a VR Time Crisis to be a bit like (since those are on rails), the player seemed to be dual wielding too which might be kind of neat with two Move controllers. But yeah, it's hard to tell how it will turn out since it's using another game's title without really being that similar.

Man, PSVR may be at a lower price point for the unit compared to other VR headsets, but a lot of the game prices: yikes! I know there're some trade-offs in terms of how much content these games offer, but the platform may suffer from not having a lot of "hidden gems" in the mid-price range.

I think the batman arkham VR can be that hidden gem at $20

Maybe. I just hope the depth is actually there for a lot of these titles at those asking prices. VR still needs to find its "price range," and as we learned from Feral Rites, it can only hurt the platform to post half-baked experiences at $50-60 right off the bat.

I don't think that's fair at all first the complaint was vr only having experiences now that we've seen the prices of some now a large portion of people are saying o vr is dead with those prices. The games that are $40 and up are full fledged games with both single player and multiplayer features. Batman vr and rush of blood are $20 because they are short smaller games in the same vain as say telltale games or other short digital games.
