Let's Talk About PlayStation VR: List of Upcoming Titles

So I had asked earlier about Here They Lie and a physical copy. In doing my own investigating it is looking like it is digital only in the US with physical and digital for EU.

What I didn't realize is that there will be a non-VR PS4 version of the game coming out at a later date as well. That is neat. I'm sure that has probably already been talked about in this thread, but then this thread is huge so I probably missed it :)

Side note: www.HereTheyLie.com is weird.

Physical is coming to the US but not at launch.

I tried Eve at Best Buy and at the end of it I felt a little headache coming on. Is there any known issue with that demo like its framerate not being locked, frame consistancy being bad etc? It could just be because of the barrel roll or two I did midway through. I need to try VR again a few more time before saying I want it because i dont want to plunk down hundreds of dollars just to give me a headache every time I use the thing.

You have to get adjusted to VR. EVE has a good framerate what when I played the hell out of it.

I mostly buy physical/retail versions of games and was just thinking about the launch games I want, then the idea of digital being better for VR games popped into my head. Since you don't have to take off the headset to switch games this seems the better route. Anyone else switching for VR? This is all assuming the digital versions aren't a lot more expensive, which at the moment don't seem to be.

It would be really nice if Sony would enable digital pre-orders of their PSVR games in advance of launch day.

While they are at it can they finally add the Wishlist feature on the PS4 as well too please. Thanks.

Perhaps when they update the store on Tuesday. I wouldn't be surprised if they want to drive people to retailers to prove to their retail partners that PSVR is viable, though.

There's also different mechs with different playstyles in the full game. I actually managed to win a "halftime" today but it wasn't easy, can't wait to try out the other mechs. Try them all out and see which one feels better to you.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that RIGS game play is bad at all. It just gets taking used to controlling the mech with the game pad and aiming with your face.

Will the VR demos be available Tuesday during the store update? I want to have my friend download them in advance for when I go over and show him VR.

Wait, do you actually have to aim with your face? That seems odd, why not just aim with the controller/move?

Yeah you aim with your headset. Your controller still moves your mechs direction. It seems like it will take some time to get used to but that when you learn it it will work well. Just within the small demo period I got a lot better with the controls. I still prefer the battlezone control style but am looking forward to picking up RIGS down the road. Thats just a personal preference though. I think people will enjoy regardless of which one they pick.

I get 20% off disc games from Best Buy, so that and the ability to sell a game if I don't like it are very attractive. Also I figure its probably smart to come up for air every once in a while with VR, having to get up and switch a disc would probably be a good break.

Some of the PSVR games, I'm outright skipping. Job Simulator and Eve Valkyrie for example since I have them for Vive and the Rift respectively. I just want want to have a focused list for games come launch.

Guaranteed List:

Summer Lesson
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
RIGS
Battlezone
Batman Arkham VR

Maybe List:

Rez Infinite
Superhypercube
Loading Human
Driveclub

And I guess Playstation VR Worlds since that's included in my launch bundle.

Still have to decide what I'm gonna do with my second core-only bundle on Amazon..

My cousin is asking for me to just sell it to him, so I might just do that.

No pricing on Job Simulator yet?

Job Simulator is 30 bucks on Steam so I can imagine the price will be around there for it on PSVR. I imagine since they're an indie studio it'll be a digital-only release.

Hmmm... Trying to decide between that and VR Worlds.

Already have DriveClub, Rez, and the Super Stardust patch for sure.

So weird people are questioning the Until Dawn moniker attached to this game. It's not that hard to guess if you paid attention to Until Dawn's story that the game centers around what fucked up shit is going on inside Josh's head and the whole game is just a visual representation of that.
Yeah, they've said that before. Played until dawn, still think this isn't relevant to what's going on inside Josh's head.

So the gamestop i was planning on going to to get my VR at midnight they decided to allow people to reserve the extra VR sets they were taking down peoples names and phone numbers and said it would guarantee me a unit as long as i was at the midnight.

I'm sure on one of the guerilla Cambridge streams I watched they said the controls were interchangeable and that they recommended players start with right stick aim (comfort mode) before progressing to the head aiming mode.

Could be wrong though, will try to find the stream to confirm

Really hope this goes well at launch. Been practicing my Driveclub to get used to the physics again. Time to start all over again with the slow cars, lol. Sony needs to keep hype somehow through the end of the year until the bigger titles with wider appeal show up like GT Sport and RE7.

Wow. Only just starting to realize how much cool looking stuff there is at launch. It's actually a little overwhelming. Just pre-ordered Batman, Until Dawn, Driveclub, Super Stardust and Rez on PSN. Very keen on Thumper and Here They Lie also but neither seem to be available yet. Also somewhat interested in Tumble, Superhypercube and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and keeping an eye on Wayward Sky, The Assembly and Loading Human.

That's without even considering the more expensive games (VR Worlds, RotTR, Battlezone, RIGS, EVE). Unless the demo disk versions of those wow me big time I'll probably skip them for the short term with so much else on offer.

Then there's the free stuff as well. World War Toons, Playroom, Volume Coda. Free expansions to Trackmania and Battlefront not far away either, and Robinson, Star Trek, and FFXV on the horizon. Damn. Really starting to get excited now.

There seems to be a lot of physical releases missing from retailers
Rez and Here they Lie can't be found anywhere

No, it's not, it just comes out later physically (Nov 3rd).
I thought that was US? I'm from the UK
Same for both?
I want my games on disc, experiences I'm not too fuss about

Strange. I looked it up on Amazon UK, and it isn't listed, while on Amazon Germany it is (November 2nd even). Don't know why, but you can at least import it.
It's the same everywhere in the UK, Battlezone and Eve only recently appeared on Shopto too
It's like retailers aren't getting information on anything till last minute
This and the complete lack of detailed information regarding PS4Pro since PSM doesn't inspire confidence at the moment.

Pretty good. Pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
I've been going back and forth between wanting to get this and not.. Especially after selling my Rift due to not wanting to support a company that employs the likes of Palmer Lucky, and this just made me decide to keep my pre-order.

Still kinda really want to get a Vive. But I think I'll wait until next gen until i get into pc VR again.
PSVR has some really interesting exclusives.
