The people on the online dating app are so boring some times. I try to have a conversation and they don't answer or it's only "yes" or "no" some times...it seems pointless trying to know people.

I don't bother with dating apps anymore for that reason, it gets to a point where it's too frequent and if it's not one word answers you might get ignored outright. No one is entitled to a reply but it gets tiring at some point.
I can think of other things to do than waste my time with apps.

After 3 days of nonstop rain, we finally had a sunny day here.
I was at the gym early today and I went down to the pool area to the yacuzzi. There's this guy who always comes around walking around shirtless but he never goes into the sauna or the pool or anything, he just stands on his phone on a corner and walks around. I very much think this guy likes to show off and likes the attention. Except this time there weren't many people around and I was the only one inside the yacuzzi with another old guy that was there as well and the guy came around by my side and stood literally next to me outside the yacuzzi area with his phone, and then he went to the corner. We made eye contact several times, and it was hard not to look at him. He has a very nice well toned body and nice abs (which just kill me tbh) but we didn't say anything or talked. We would cross paths with our eyes and he'd go back to his phone. I just went around my business stretching and going inside the sauna and then left.
So yeah... I always thought that he was an exhibitionist, and this time maybe it was coincidence but he was looking my way and lawd... If only I knew what he was thinking, and if he was thinking the same thing I was thinking...
And now in my computer's keyboard I don't have the ~n, rip...
Also yeah, that episode was really funny. The Amy girl is quite something, she acts like a psycho.

Really bad day with bad verbal abuse from a customer for doing my job, though I got support from everyone around for it. Then I find out bad news about government grants I am not sure I can talk about public yet but that was bad.

Just released; my copy came in the mail yesterday. Greenwell mentioned it on Twitter. The back-of-the-book description kind of gives away the structure of the plot, so if you don't want quite that much information: it's an unfinished, autobiographical story set in Trieste about the coming of age of a sixteen year old gay boy .
Is this the only funding your organization receives?
It can be tough for community based organizations (I'm assuming you're working in one unless you're in the private sector) that rely in government grants. Applying each year for the funding and staying compliant each time when the rules are constantly changing... It's something. At least that's the case in the US.
And while we're discussing books, one of my favourites finally got an English translation this year so I can plug it.
An autobiographical novel set in northern rural France. As The Guardian puts it: "For anyone who thinks that in contemporary Europe the bad old days are far behind us for young people like Eddy, this is a salutary reminder of just how far from the truth that is."
It is at points rather harrowing, but it's necessary reading if you want a glimpse of the urban/rural divide and how people like Marie Le Pen appeals to people. Even if you aren't interested in that it is a very well written book well worth your time

In my experience, Lingvist is way better at helping build vocab and you can also practice reading and listening directly on the site. Also the sentences used in Lingvist are much more varied and help you get more of a "feel" for the language. I've been studying French for about eight months primarily using it and I can read most French news articles without having to look up too many words. Rudimentary grammar is also covered on the site but you'll need additional resources once you get to an intermediate level.

A different place but also about government funding: Years ago, after years of unpaid* work in the field of my qualifications, the place I was working said they would apply for government funding to hire me. But the whole department lost its funding and closed down. The government changed how the sector works and lots of places lost funding. Others lost their job but I was transferred to another program within it but still unpaid.
*Unpaid but we have unemployment benefits here. I now have an unrelated job.

Yeah, I know the feeling. My job allows me to work with two different community based organizations that receive government funding and it's rough, especially for the smaller organization I'm working with.
